At Rugby World Cup 2023 Tonga were in a Pool with South Africa, Ireland, Scotland and Romania. Despite valiant efforts, the Tonga's suffered three defeats, but ended with an emphatic victory over Romania.

This is why Jason Taumalolo is the best Tongan player imo. Jonah Lomu only played for the All Blacks while RLWC 2017 Jason inspired guys like Fekitoa, Piutau, and Israel Folau to represent Tonga.
Most Tongans are like Taniela Tupou, he’ll be a Wallaby until he can’t make the cut anymore in Australia. Only then Taniela will represent Tonga, when he’s old and no longer in his prime
