- In this episode, we SMASH our new skid plates off road. This is not a press vehicle, it is ours. Which means we can bomb it up our hill test as much as we want. No matter what happens at the end of the week, its ours... damage included.

The rubber boots with shorts are disturbing. I do it too, but it's no less disturbing. We should both probably stop it. But we won't.
Lots of facts in this comment!
This has become one of my favorite channels, really happy to have found y’all 💪
Thanks! And thank you for watching.
@@TexasTruckChannel for sure 👍, I’d love to see a video explaining showing the 2WD and 4WD differences on this truck compared with Toyota.
Your hill has become a bit rutted out. Can't wait till you put a lift and Recon Grapplers on the Ranger. The Recons are amazing, IMHO they out perform the Ridge Grapplers.
I have a Ranger Raptor and it NEEDS a larger fuel tank. A factory 25gal tank would have been nice
I have this exact same spec ordered but with the 2.7. I will definitely be putting on Wildpeak A/T as soon as I get it.
Badass video! U NEED to do this on all the trucks lol that 2WD locker 🔒 is so badass!! Not a Ford guy but i like this rig! I just ordered the OG KO2's there old skool & yeah they could be better, seems 🌧️ is the issue people have, I live in Phoenix so I'm not worried about that lol Have fun guys & be careful
Another vote for Mickey Thompson Baja boss tires
Falkin Wildpeak AT3's will be perfect for you and I have 53k on a F250 w 37's. The AT4 is what I am waiting for in my size and I believe those will even be better..but heavier like your boots ;)
I see more Croc's offroad than I do boots lol also you should go ahead and throw a hitch slider on there to protect the receiver from slamming down on stuff when not towing!
Good point, we should just do that!
Are y’all going to test the ranger off road in slow motion?
I'm a fan of the General Grabber ATX.
I have these same tires on my 2024 fx4. They aren't very good and fling rocks all over. Thinking about replacing them with the BF Goodrich All Terrian K03's. I'd be interested to see you guys test these new KO3's on the Ranger. Supposedly, they are quieter on the road and smoother but still do great off-roading.
Check out our 2024 Tacoma content, we ran K03’s on it as well. Sadly it threw rocks as well, but we’re quiet and had tons of grip on and off road. Highly recommend them.
Great video! When are you guys gonna install the Fox 2.0 on this truck? I have a 24 Lariat and have been wanting a set of new shocks. I didn't know if they fit, can't wait to your install video.
We are installing this weekend! Trying to atleast.
I bought an XLT FX4 recently and it came with General Grabber A/T’s. I don’t know jack about any of this stuff, just thought it was weird that it came with different tires.
I have General Grabber all terrains on my 4Runner, they are fantastic tires. 65k miles and counting and they still have a lot of usable tread depth.
Those were optional factory tires that our truck sadly didn’t come with.
Are those the offroad tires?
@@TexasTruckChannel I didn't even realize that. Thank you!
Mine came with crappy Goodyears too@@TexasTruckChannel
Bummer about the factory tires
Love this channel you guys are awesome love the content I'm from Wichita falls not to far from yall.
That’s awesome, glad to see some Texans watching.
Those rangers have a bed that isnt structurally strong enough for a topper without additional brackets. Crazy...
That absolutely is crazy. More specifically it needs additional j braces for above rail items while off roading. It’s silly that Ford isn’t bolting these braces on from the factory.
Put a set of 34x10.5R17 BFG ATs, problem solved.
Nitto is launching a new Terra Grappler G3, might be something to consider. Sheesh they have been teasing it for weeks it feels like, it better be good
I vote for Nitto Ridge Grapplers
I'm really interested with which tires you go with. My 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 came with the same Goodyear Wranglers, 255/70/17. I wanted to get the BFG KO3s but would have to upsize to 265/70/17. Our local Costco said they couldn't put them on due to exceeding their 3% increase restriction! the BFG KO3s are not available in 255/70/17. What is the max size you can put on without rubbing anything without lifts or leveling? Also, do you like the class C or E for off roading? Heard many arguments for both. Thank you in advance.
Check out our latest. We have chosen our first set of tires!
For this weight of truck, c class.
Do you have plans for the stock tires after you replace them? Im not too far away from you in Palestine, TX.
Baja Boss AT
I'd buy this exact truck 📦 with the 2.7L V-6 TT 315hp & 400tq=👍🇺🇸👍
I got one coming in October. 🤞
@@GP80888 good luck 🤞 I'd get 1 if i needed a truck. I have a manual Tacoma V-6 still in good condition low miles so I'ma keep her did sumo springs & ECU tune so no sagging towing & runs much better. It sucked 🦴 stock. Your truck will smash from the factory Ford makes fast trucks!
Hate Gooodyear and Nitto tires. Idk why anyone would recommend either. I vote for Falken Wildepeak AT4W or Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus. (I've only used the Pirelli's on a Ram though)
What's with that rust on the driveshaft already??
Bf Goodrich kos
B and B rated tires? That sucks. Ford usually does better than that.
I guess you're trying to get rid of those tires cuz you just about wore them down to nothing. Anyway, I don't think it's the tires you didn't air down, and you were in two-wheel drive. Not surprising at all.. I agree those tires are not great but come on.
th-cam.com/video/0H_UxhRXgec/w-d-xo.html This guy will show you how to test traction control properly. Trail control and traction control in Ford are literal garbage. the trail control just holds the accelerator, nothing like a toyota crawl control, and of course miles from LAnd Rover ATPC, but thats an unfair comparison cause its Land Rover
