Okay, first things first. Yeah, the Suicide Squad game is shit, with bad writing and bad acting.
But, I wonder, how much the SOURCE material impacts the adaptation.
Batman: The Animated Series (Kevin Conroy one) had such LANDMARK writing and character building. IIRC, I read somewhere that Two Face and Harley Quinn were actually such well written, original characters, they were reverse adapted into the comics. Talk about awesome character work! I'm sure anyone who has seen Two Face's arc from the cartoon show remembers the goosebumps moment when Two Face is undergoing surgery, and someone tells him Bruce Wayne is picking up the tab, and he just goes "Good ol' Bruce. He was always there for me.".
TL;DR Suicide Squad game is shit, because Rocksteady dropped the ball, obviously. But the source material is slop, too.

She doesn't even sound like him, Mr. Freeze talked slowly, like a machine, but his words and actions showed his emotions. She just talks like regular human.
While coming across as completely distant and detached.
She's SUPPOSED to be cold (literally) and calculating. She's not a humorous villain, just a scientist doing wha she does for her wife, same as Victor. How do people not understand that? Her personality works really well, especially to contrast the more crazy members of the squad.

Some of his skin has fallen off, and his body is worn from being in the suit for so long. Mrs.Freeze on the other hand dosen’t seem to care that much, and just looks like another “strong woman” steryotype when that isn’t what the character mr freeze is supposed to be. So they made a gender swapped Mr. Freeze who's a completely made up character on the spot, and they couldn't just use Killer Frost or other already established DC characters for some reason.

They also can swap Nora and Victor positions. But they choose to not do that. I mean, i thought mrs. Freeze is Nora before the DLC came out

@@DuelaDent52 I don't know her age, I don't even think they've confirmed her age yet, but that's just the vibe that I get off of her, even if she is older, they still messed up the character as a whole, design wise she's way less intimidating than Mr. Freeze, the haircut just doesn't work either, also Mr. Freeze was respectful to Batman at times, while Mrs. Freeze is just grumpy for the sake of being grumpy, you don't feel any kind of sympathy for her or her wife either, I just don't understand why they didn't add killer frost in at that point, don't want to start a giant argument that lasts for 10+ messages, but that's just my opinion.

There’s a lot wrong with Mrs. Freeze conceptually, but what you described is, like, the exact opposite of emotionless. What in this scene makes you doubt Mrs. Freeze loves Nora any less than Mr. Freeze did?
Seems to be the trend among the out of touch writers and producers, to have neutral faced, monotone acting at all times. e.g. Ada Wong in RE4R, Ashoka in the live action show and Osha & Mae in The Acolyte.
What's wrong with this scene is it isn't one. The camera just bounces to and from characters so they can deliver a one liner then cut away. No conversation is had or understanding reached.
Rocksteady Back Then: Games that were worth the tag of 60$ and no extra charges.
Rocksteady Today: Games that are not worth 70$ and has live service on top of that.
TBF Knight got huge crap for its 30 dollar DLC lol

Arkham Knight had a $50 "season pass" to even get that freeze dlc and was so broken on release that steam pulled it from the store until they fixed it.

the older i get the more i realize the magic of old IP's (movies, video games, tv shows) really came from the people on the ground level of those projects and how much heart and soul they put into those projects. The experience was so sweet because it was made by people who love what they do and are fans of what they create as much as the audience. I really do hope in the future we go back to content that has more intent behind it rather than checking tick boxes to criteria that is completely false.

At least we can return to the Arkham tetralogy and it can serve as a standard to reflect on for the future.
There's also Arkham Blackgate, the 2.5D metroidvania. Even with its low badged comic scenes it manages to have a better story than Suicide Slop.

Batman: The Animated Series took Mr. Freeze from a campy joke of a character and made him one of the best villans in Batman's rogues gallery. The Arkham games took the Animated Series version of Mr. Freeze and built on it. This new version just feels like a step in the wrong direction.

This could have been Nora in the suit, and Victor in the tube. It could have shown their relationship from a reverse angle, show how differently Nora would approach trying to cure Victor. She could struggle with breaking the law for the sake of love, and know that Victor may judge her for every misdeed.
They could have delved into her not only being apart from her husband, but ALSO one of the few survivors from her universe. Her husband, her body, and even the world around her all turned into a frozen wasteland. Waller could have the Squad kidnap Victor, and force Nora to get implanted with the nanobomb and join the Squad. Nora and Harley could bond over losing their loved ones (Victor and Ivy). Penguin could drop a line about sticking his version of Victor in a heated room, and Nora could snap at his cruelty. The tragic character practically writes itself!
But instead we get a new woman we've never met before, whose wife was an eco-terrorist (so she doesn't have to be afraid of Nora judging her actions), and who just decides to join the squad, because why not? The multiverse is an excellent oppurtunity to look at exciting new "what if" scenarios, but Rocksteady chose to ignore all that, and instead just went for "Mr. Freeze, but lesbian".

Say what you want about Gotham Knights, but they atleast tried to make a game that captures the spirit of the Batman universe. It might not be for everyone and i know there are some issues, but i wholeheartedly feel like Gotham Knights deserves alot more love and appreciation for what it did right. Because despite its flaws it was a Batfamily game that stayed true to its roots and thats far more respectful to the Batman legacy than what SS KJL has done. 🙏

…………….What in the hell happened to that company, they used to put out award winning hits that looked amazing even 5 years after release, this new game looks like some amateur hour crap with zero emotion and to much “let’s be stupid and joke” during what should be a serious cutscene.
And this was arguably the lesser of the Freeze sections of Arkham games, City was just cold asf, pun intended.
I hate how, personality wise, “Karen Freeze” isn’t anything close to Mr Freeze. Arkham verse Freeze had an intimidating almost robotic voice, and you really got the sense that he was a tragic figure who’s lost almost everything, including the love of his life. Mrs Freeze just sounds like a generic girl boss who’s mildly inconvenienced by Nora’s illness
