    The M Sport bodykit looks amazing. I think you should just get an M Sport to start with too. From all my recent research shopping for one, the price difference is often cheaper than buying the parts, and definitely parts + labor shown here.

    I have the 2017 “sport line” 330i. Looking to do the M-sport body kit conversion with the front lip and rear diffuser. Parts are about $2k from Kies. I find modding the car every so often tricks my mind into keeping the car longer. And thats still cheaper than buying a new car every 4-5 years.

    Bought the bumper conversion kit shipped and everything for 1200$, 1 quart of black sapphire metallic 75$. If you know someone who can paint or can paint yourself it makes things much easier.

    I have a 2014 435 and the problem with my car is that I didn’t really have a choice on whether I was getting an m sport kit or not. The car is an xDrive 6 speed and I bought it insanely cheap because it had some mechanical issues but I was able to fix it up and make it run like new. It came with the sportline package but it was a manual and I really needed a car at the time so I took it. The first thing I knew was that I was going to eventually one day put an M sport kit on the car and I was going to do it right. Well unluckily for me, whoever spec’d this car put absolutely zero parking assists. No backup camera and no PDC front or rear. Now the issue with this is that it’s basically impossible to find an OEM M sport bumper front or rear without PDC on it so I was basically SOL. My original plan was to buy good condition M sport bumpers in my color (Sapphire black) and just toss them on. The car had 100k miles and I didn’t think it was worth putting brand new painted bumpers on at the time. I looked for months upon months and one day I finally found someone selling a non painted OEM M sport non PDC bumper. It was like the holy grail of finds and I knew I needed to jump on it IMMEDIATELY. So I did. $550 later, the bumper arrived at my house. I then had the first piece of the kit. After that I spent ages scouring for the rear bumper and side skirts with no luck. Finally I managed to pick up a pair of used M sport side skirts in Sapphire black for around $300 I think. That was the second piece of the puzzle. Finally I gave up looking online for a rear bumper and checked the BMW parts department. They said it was $600 however I needed a core. The core charge was $200, it was outrageous. I basically said no way and went to my last resort, an aftermarket rear bumper kit from eBay. Now the bright side of ordering an after market kit is that all of the plastic pieces and diffusers come with it and I don’t need to order any of it. I begrudgingly ordered the rear bumper from eBay for $500 and it arrived at my doorstep too. At this point I’m all in $1350 and I haven’t even gotten them painted yet. I got the front and rear painted by a local paint shop in my area for $800 and the total was up to a staggering $2150! I was able to put my rear bumper on along with my side skirts but the problem with buying an OEM front bumper is that no grilles came along with it. Since all of the plastic pieces are obscure parts nobody makes them after market or just sells the ducts and grilles without a bumper. So after spending another eye watering $725 all of the parts for the front bumper are ordered. So all in just on the body kit alone (that isn’t even fully OEM) I’m at $2875. I don’t even have the steering wheel yet. That’ll be approximately another $700-800 as I received a free M wheel. Only issue is that it doesn’t have plastic covers, buttons, airbag, or wiring. I’m also not even gonna change my red interior trim (exclusive to sportline models only) or change my door sills. So with the entire conversion done to my liking it’ll total out at approximately $3700. Seeing that number written down is pretty rough ngl, but this was over the span of 2 years. It’s been a long time coming but it’ll totally be worth it once the last plastic panels get here. That’s also not including the OEM 437M wheels I bought, that’s a whole other arm and a leg.

    The M sport is more than just a body kit and steering wheel. M sports are slightly lower, have stiffer springs, dampers, and bushings and I think the steering ratio is quicker. So if you consider the entire M sport package then it is not worth it to convert a regular BMW into an M sport. In other words your BMW only looks like an M sport but isn’t going to perform like an M sport. I think it is better to just buy an M sport to begin with. Save money and have performance to go with the looks.

    • @ayyyman_
      @ayyyman_  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with your conclusion. I could be wrong on this though but I believe all the “performance” related differences, except the m sport brakes, are in the sport line package. So a sport line car has all those advantages over a base model car. Then the M sport adds the visual elements as well as the bigger m sport brakes on top of that

The power to the engine is completely different and there is no governor on Msports and actual Ms. All other bmws are governed.

      @souljayt8411 ปีที่แล้ว

      if u want the 600hp get the m240 u can achieve that with fbo and e50 mix upgraded turbos is another story, you’ll easily make that 600-800 once you upgrade turbos and that’s on stock block/ internals. I’m on a stage 1 tune in my 440i w stage 2 xhp and this thing moves lol I have 0 bolt ons and the OTS flash I just mentioned advertised a 420hp mark. Xhp said my car is at 326 based on the vin# and dealer specs I guess. If everything is correct that’s a 90 hp gain on just 91. I highly doubt I gained that much. But it definitely feels like I gained 40+ hp and that’s just off the ots stage 1 mhd tune. I used the Kies enet adapter as well, took me less than 15 mins to dial my burbles and torque limits + flash the car. Mhd super license for b58 was 550, xhp license+mappack was 330+ 100$ for the Kies adapter. I wish I did it sooner.
