I love my 790s for sure. TM has made a good series of irons for most golfers. The big key is finding the right one for your game and not letting your ego make you play something that is not the best for you. I would love to play the 770s. I have a friend with one and they feel fantastic. Better than the 790s but I need the bit more forgiveness and distance of the 790s. To quote Dirty Dirty Harry, 'A man must know his limitations.'
Would love to see a comparison between the original 2017 P770 vs 2022 P770 vs the 2023 P770. These are all 33 degree 7 irons. It would be interesting to see the impact of the hollow body.

Ohhh, a real shame they changed the look of the 770's. The last model was just beautiful.
Great video Alex...you have a really nice golf swing. I'd like to see a comparison of the P770 vs. P790. I know the P790's are a little stronger lofted and have a longer blade length -- but I prefer the looks of the P770. Just not sure I'm good enough to play them (HC Index - 11).

You made a great point... if you don't have a reference they look great! but if you see these and 2 weeks later you see the old clubs you wouldn't know the difference. Great time for the resale market!

The new P770 clubs have really grown on me. I personally think the looks are striking and they handle great. I’m using them 7-PW. I had no intention of playing these initially, but then a gave a 7 a chance. I now just keep filling in the gaps in my collection.

The back on these looks very similar to the new P790, which in my opinion is not what I want in my bag (look wise) . I play the 2020 P770 and to me they look better than this new model and more distinctive in the P range. The new p7mc looks better than the old one.

have to say 2020 and 2023 Model look so close you have to ask is there really that much difference? I am sure there are some differences but if you own 2020 model not enough to consider upgrading.

I don’t think they could call it p 780. If I recall, the 770 indicates 77mm blade length. May be wrong, but thought that was the basis for the numbers.

Definitely need a toe-to-toe Al. If for no other reason than to compare the sound. It's hard to tell in isolation (and in a video) but the new ones don't seem to be a 'clicky' as the old model.

770's remind of the upgraded $2000 P790 irons. No tweaks needed.
i am curious, i am torn between the jpx921, and the p770 irons. I am inconsistent and play off around 18 I would say. I normally shoot between, 87 to 90. Which would you recommend? are the P770 forgiving enough for a crap golfer like me? HA!

The new 770s have a silver triangle above the black T on the backside of the club. But I agree difference is very small.

The 770 looks different, looks more like the 790 and I don’t like it, the previous version was better looking. I really the 7MC though I really like that look with the solid piece at the toe feels like it’s more weighting at the toe

I don't understand stand this current fad of making heads smaller with no offset. From a logic/common sense standpoint it makes no sense. I wonder if 10 years from now people will look back and wonder how such a bad idea took hold.
