The Process
---------------------
We start by taking a brief look at the history of Hot Ones. Now that we understand our product, we begin work on its brand design and identity. We'll create some custom typography and logo design. Then we layout our content on our packaging mockup, and start designing graphics in photoshop for the final scene.

To tell you the truth, as a designer, at first I didn't really feel the whole re-design. But then as you moved forward and added the finishing touches, it just looked awesome. Everything worked together in a beautiful harmony. And as a hot sauce enthusiast, I would definitely cop all three of these if I saw them in a store. Great job!
Always trust the process
I think it's mainly due to the size of the logo. Makes it looks a bit cheap.
RIGHT! I was the same way until he changed the flames and the chicken design, I was thinking it could be done in a better way to fit everything but it came out looking fantastic.
Having a cohesive design really makes a world of difference. The original designs were fine, but now it feels more like a collection. Almost makes me want to buy all 3 just so that I have the complete "set" 😆

Hey, I wanna say one thing. The method you used to make the texts look hand-drawn there's another way. Rasterize the text and Add Noise > Median to it. You'll get the same result

These hot sauces look perfect and far more cohesive than the original bottles! I love the little touches with the chicken representing the different spicy levels to use visual imagery to sell the product that the words alone won't tell you!

I think I found my favorite graphic designer. I'm so blown away by your designs!
this is really good but the one thing throwing it off for me is the drop shadow from the fire, it just looks like a weirdly shaped text bubble (which could work i guess) or i like a leaf with text on it since fire doesnt create a shadow (it emits light so that would be impossible)
That’s how branding should be explained. Simple idea and clear process from draft to final product. Then focus on original concept, identity and creativity. The objective still remains to create a new brand. Good work 👍

For the last dab, i think purple flame would fit, like red flame fsding into purple, because purple or blue flame is hotter than red flame, that would worked well
if they were to use this redesign that would be insane! loved how these 3 turned out, nice and organised, and works well establishing the difference in the heat of each sauce! Great work!

I love this so much and I wish Hot Ones would actually use this design.
Some of my friends wanted to try the hot ones sauces but when looking online, they weren’t sure if they were looking at a Hot Ones sauce, or if it was “just a random bottle of hot sauce”.
A unified design and a recognizable logo would really help in making their sauces more “official” looking.

The skeleton chicken is so distinctive and cool. It gives a good excuse for the nighttime blue background, with the spooky theme, and makes a cute pun out of "Last Dab".

Not really a fan of Graphic design but this was very entertaining.
I lost Hot ones interviews and these designs would definetly bring the Hot sauce branding to retail.
While I do appreciate your design. I think the reason each hot one's hot sauce bottle is unique in design is to give somewhat of a theme for the sauce, representing the sauce itself more than the brand.
But I also think this is a good idea for an actual 'Hot Ones' sauce brand.
this is a huge upgrade from what they have now, it is easier for customers to find in-store. they should hire you!

This is so good bruh the varying chickens to top it off really nails it
For the last bottle, I thought you would color the flame blue as it would tie in well with the blue variations in the background. It's also the hottest flame too, but seeing well the mushroom cloud pops up on the navy background is a sight for sore eyes.

Well done! I agree 100% they need to be cohesive for the branding, and that the iconic logo needed to take center stage. Your evolution of the chicken v. the kick each sauce has is genius.
The only thing I’d of done differently is swap the “Hot Sauce” line with the specifics line, so the “what” read with name and “flavor” [inside of the label band] , with the “fine print” being out the label band.

I don't know what techniques you're using but I love your hand drawn designs. They remind me of when product packaging had more fun cartoons on there. I think you would make really good cartoons. Have you done any cartooning?

Thanks for helping me with making each brand cohesive! One thing I would have done is to keep the angular shape in the nuclear one or make the flame blue as that is the colour of flame when it's the hottest. Lastly the styling of the chicken was an amazing idea man! New sub!
yo yo little tip on the thumbnail. personally the red bar at the bottom makes it hard to tell if ive seen the vid or not if it's there, so maybe u could make the color of it less alike to the watched bar or just a different color / style. just letting u know bc i dont watch tons of videos that i've seen before. glad i clicked even tho it was hard to tell bc i didnt see this yet and it was rly good. love your vibes and channel have a great day / night whenever ur reading this ( i just noticed this was posted 2 YEARS ago so ummm i doubt this is a problem anymr but anyway...)
