Just accept that Halo ended in Halo 3. 343's fanfiction story Retcon'ed 99% of the original lore. Halo Wars 2 also Retcon's most of Halo 3 btw. And yeah we all know that Infinite story's doesn't bring us far, it's as if the story of CE would end on the Silent Cartographer xD without the cool beach landing fight and without us ever going to the control room. They killed off the big human ship in the intro, because it was a bad idea from the start to give the UNSC a massive ship that is bigger than a super carrier only 4 years after they nearly lost everything they had... it doesn't make any sense, like all parts of the 343 fanfiction, Chief is "The Chosen One" now, so let's see what they make super men do in Halo 7 in a few years xD
It's weird. I can't tell if I hate games workshop more than 343 or not. 343 for ruining halo completely, or games workshop for murdering Emperor TTS and being games workshop. Also, I love this style of content. Halo and 40k are two great franchises (lorewise, of course. Halo lore is completely peak. 40K too.) If you like RTS games, I would suggest playing the dawn of war games. Don't play two or three, though. The first, dark crusade, and soulstorm are great, but the others? Not so much. Mechanicus is also good, but it is not *quite* at the level of the dawn of war games or an RTS, being a turn based game. Just prepare to need a degree in computing to get them working. Same applies to Vampire: the masquerade bloodlines, but that game is also worth it (and completely disconnected from either of these franchises, but do check out the world of darkness franchise of TTRPGs, and it's lore. It also has Hunter: the Parenting. The resurrection of Emperor TTS.) Sorry for rambling, and sorry for not being around for so long. A metal spike got launched through my leg and I developed sepsis, which developed into a bacterial blood infection. Again, you create peak content. Have a wonderful day.
I did try out Dawn of War 3 and I don't think I've ever been so confused by the balancing of an RTS before. I didn't think it'd be too bad since I have over 400 hours in Company of Heroes 2, but its rough. I probably will try out the original one at some point though! Also that sucks to hear about your leg, I hope you're having a speedy recovery!
@@aperson3996 Not at all, I do like both. I simply made this to discuss some of the shortcomings that Halo has been having in its recent releases and comparing it to a similar franchise that I think has been handling it better

Ive just seen the conversation thrown around so many times, and so many people on both sides seem to think one is automatically superior, and that liking one means you must hate the other. And also yeah, despite Gamesworkshop being…. not the best… at least theyve done better than 343. As a halo fan, all I can hope for is that someday, the IP actually gets back on it’s feet, cause it deserves to be so much more than what it is right now
@stephenchambers7972 Intellectual Property, it's a category of "property" that is owned but not tied to a physical thing. Saying you own the IP to Halo means that you're allowed to make additions to all that is Halo and make a profit on it. Some companies are very protective over their IPs like Nintendo when they sue people for having things that resemble Mario and Luigi for example
