I think one of the main reasons I prefer Marc is that I wear fragrance for myself, not for others or the chance that undergarments may succumb to gravity… I don’t tune in to be sold anything and I think Marc is authentic and is in for the “love of the game”. However, I have to admit, when I tried Greenly, it felt somewhat ordinary. It didn't seem to justify its high price tag. While it may garner compliments, to me, it smelled synthetic and overpriced for its offerings.

from their newer freshies I like Sedley much better, but I can see why so many like Greenly in the heat. Habdan is still the best PDM I've smelled, hopefully you'll get your hands on it so we can hear your take on that underrated gem. 👍
Oh man, I forgot about that one. As far as designers go, the Brioni EDP and Intense are really nice. I wasn't expecting much, but instantly bought the Intense after getting a decant.
I find all the negative comments so funny. Honestly folks, you like what you like. There is far too much snobbery in the fragrance community. I’m not a huge fan in general of the PDM’s I’ve tried, but I actually quite like Greenley, particularly the dry down. And if you don’t that’s just fine.
I have a few PDM’s and think they are generally good. I have about 200 frags, mostly niche. That being said Greenley is my most complimented scent that I own. I have had many coworkers buy bottles because they like it on me. On my skin it is a beastmode scent that does smell great. It is not my favorite frag, but it is in my top five, the compliments may help raise its number, but I generally love the scent myself.
@@robes08 I’m no one, just a person that appreciates frags. Greenley gets me tons of compliments. I am in a warm climate, but mainly work indoors. It lasts an easy 14+ hours on me. My favorite is Profumum Roma Patchouly. I have Jovoy Psychedelic and Maison Crivelli Parchouli Magnetik as well that are in my top 10, but Profumum Roma Patchouli lasts forever and smells insane to me.
I like this one as a warm weather casual wear, but waiting on a solid clone for sure. Not worth anywhere near its price-tag. Mid-level designer certainly. Cafe Tabac from Aedes de Venustas was a recent sample that I had a tried that had a nice green apple. Thanks for this review, Marc! Enjoyed walking through this one with you!

Greenly is the only bottle of PdM I have. Yea its synthetic but the intense green apple is almost quasi mint like and I enjoy it. Yea don't overspray. The worst PdM Ive tried is Kalan. An incoherent mess. And synthetic.
I completely agree with you. Never understood the appeal of the brand. They just don't offer anything special in terms of scentprofiles nor quality. A *meh*brand at best for a premium pricetag That's a no in my book.

Hey Marc ! One really good green apple fragrance is Oud Aquilaria by Oman Luxury, perfumed by Dominique Ropion, It’s a little on the heavy side but man it smells so classy. I’d get that one over this PDM any day .. I’d get anything instead of PDM to be honest 😂.
ELDO does 2 of my favorite green apple scents: Experimentum Crucis and I Am Trash. The former is aromatic rose with a base full of laundry musks reminiscent of the stuff Francis K likes to use in his freshies, though I think Quentin Bisch is the nose. Some say the rose is the star but the apple sings loudest on my skin. I Am Trash is almost like its lighter, more ethereal second cousin. It's nearly a whisper of a scent, but man I do like it on a particularly hot day.
Brioni Intense. I guess i am not the first one to suggest. Brilliant frag in designer's realm. It's still an imaginary green apple (on top of very familiar oud/saffron combo), but still very juicy. Where credit is due
The fragrance that stands out to me in regard to green apple is Promise from Frederic Malle. The contrast between the green apple and Cypriol works somehow.
I've watched the video and read a few comments. I live on a sub-tropical island and I like Greenley a lot. This, Torino21 and Sedley work wonders for me.
Smell Molecule 05 and the turbocharged Ambroxan called AmberXtreme and you will understand what is there! And you should have looked at the box and said that everything is ok and in accordance with safety and sustainability laws!
In Canada we don't want it lol. In a hot and humid country I'd suggest Menthe Fraiche by Heeley, Bigarade Concentree by Frederic Malle and that money would bring you an amazing scent profile.
Love Greenley and it's probably going to be my next purchase I just need to hunt a bottle down(no hurries my decant's gonna last me till I can find one)...thing's been MIA for a bit on discounter sites in europe/uk at a reasonable price at least(not paying more than 150ish for a bottle that is a fair price for it IMO).

In Dubai most designers will disappear of the skin in 10 minutes, greenly performs well. Also most niche and sophisticated scents smell funky and awful in the heat unlike greenly, most pdms can be bought for 50% of the retail price….

This would be ok for a desiginer release, but for the money it's a bad joke. I am happy to report I have never owned a PDM fragrance, ive only tried a few 5ml decants and none have impressed.

I think you are going a little out of the way to bash PDM. Greenely is VERY unique. I haven't smelled anything like it and I do own a bottle I bought retail when I first started in this game. Greenely is one of my best freshies.

@3pumps483 Most people don't think that. I have 150+ fragrances and Layton is still my personal fav and gets the most compliments from women. I agree they are overpriced and hyped in a lot of instances but not all. I won't touch their newer stuff for instance.

Carlisle is the top of their pile IMO. Herod is good, but terrible performance. Byerley is very good, but incredibly "niche", with a distinctly "old felt-lined writing cabinet" feel to it. Layton, I like, regardless of the now-hip-to-hate reputation. Sedley is just blah, with diabolical performance on my skin. Altair & Haltane I really like, but waaay overpriced for now.
I just watched a Demi rawlings top ten videos, and lost my shit ,when I heard her tell her viewers ,Louis vuitton ombre nomads was one of the 1st fragrances to be bring oud to the western consumers , being a reviewer, huge collection, in the perfume industry and living in a middle Eastern country, what she said was mind blowing , and then thinking of all the oud fragrances that came before it, or the oud rush after oud wood.

While my taste isn't necessarily the same as Marc's, I'm shocked to hear him say Perseus is quality. Perseus has thee worst 'grapefruit' and 'vetiver' notes of any so-called niche house I've tried. Very much a synthetic mess. Sedley is a basic ambrox driven fragrance. I don't hate this house, it's just not noteworthy.
Well I didn't say it was quality, I said the grapefruit was authentic which to me is quality but the rest of the scent was not worth the money and honestly what I didn't say in the video because it was an unboxing was the drydown was really underwhelming.
First of all Bond No. 9 is apparently VERY litigious. They must have New York lawyers on their payroll. Sebastian once got a cease and desist letter from those jokers for an unfavorable review.
Nothing special with this one. I wouldn't even wear on the regular basis. The apple scent that I enjoy the most is Apple Brandy On the Rocks By kilian, together with the booze just kills this one.

I’ve watched lot of influencers on the fragrance realm but at the end of the day I find your content more relevant to my taste because I start collecting from your recommendations over a decade ago . I just wish you focus more on your experience on a particular product and not worry too much about other people opinions , some find it entertaining that you clash some reviewers but we are losing the point because scent is subjective and they do have their audience that find their contents relevant even though I’m not one of them
Actually he never only reviewed the things he liked, he's from the era where reviewers would do subscribers choice or find new, overlooked and niche fragrances and Actually give an unbiased review and score it unlike the overly positive reviews and list we have today
I never focused on just what I like which was what made my channel unique as I bought blindly everything and gave it good, bad and ok reviews. I see what you mean but also I spent a good chunk of this review on the scent but I always do like to give a disclaimer to newer noses to know that hey this brand does this, and reviewers aren't honest about certain brands. I never felt the need in the old times to do that because all reviewers discovered brands organically but that's not the case anymore so brands get ignored because they have zero social media influence as others get all the limelight even though the quality isn't there. Just my 2 cents why I do it and it's only for certain brands.

I think you are going a little out of the way to bash PDM. Greenely is VERY unique. I haven't smelled anything like it and I do own a bottle I bought retail when I first started in this game. Greenely is one of my best freshies.

I'm having a little fun with a brand that uses social media to push the brand, it's all good fun as for the scents themselves I would never change my thoughts or go out of my way to bash them. If you are good I'll say it.
@3pumps483 Most people don't think that. I have 150+ fragrances and Layton is still my personal fav and gets the most compliments from women. I agree they are overpriced and hyped in a lot of instances but not all. I won't touch their newer stuff for instance.

I probably will smell all the PDM's now with decanting, the more popular the more I'll be getting them to decant.
Carlisle is the top of their pile IMO. Herod is good, but terrible performance. Byerley is very good, but incredibly "niche", with a distinctly "old felt-lined writing cabinet" feel to it. Layton, I like, regardless of the now-hip-to-hate reputation. Sedley is just blah, with diabolical performance on my skin. Altair & Haltane I really like, but waaay overpriced for now.

I just watched a Demi rawlings top ten videos, and lost my shit ,when I heard her tell her viewers ,Louis vuitton ombre nomads was one of the 1st fragrances to be bring oud to the western consumers , being a reviewer, huge collection, in the perfume industry and living in a middle Eastern country, what she said was mind blowing , and then thinking of all the oud fragrances that came before it, or the oud rush after oud wood.

While my taste isn't necessarily the same as Marc's, I'm shocked to hear him say Perseus is quality. Perseus has thee worst 'grapefruit' and 'vetiver' notes of any so-called niche house I've tried. Very much a synthetic mess. Sedley is a basic ambrox driven fragrance. I don't hate this house, it's just not noteworthy.
Well I didn't say it was quality, I said the grapefruit was authentic which to me is quality but the rest of the scent was not worth the money and honestly what I didn't say in the video because it was an unboxing was the drydown was really underwhelming.

Nothing special with this one. I wouldn't even wear on the regular basis. The apple scent that I enjoy the most is Apple Brandy On the Rocks By kilian, together with the booze just kills this one.

I miss the old robes08 that reviews the thing he likes and find relevant . I’ve watched lot of influencers on the fragrance realm but at the end of the day I find your content more relevant to my taste because I start collecting from your recommendations over a decade ago . I just wish you focus more on your experience on a particular product and not worry too much about other people opinions , some find it entertaining that you clash some reviewers but we are losing the point because scent is subjective and they do have their audience that find their contents relevant even though I’m not one of them
Actually he never only reviewed the things he liked, he's from the era where reviewers would do subscribers choice or find new, overlooked and niche fragrances and Actually give an unbiased review and score it unlike the overly positive reviews and list we have today
I never focused on just what I like which was what made my channel unique as I bought blindly everything and gave it good, bad and ok reviews. I see what you mean but also I spent a good chunk of this review on the scent but I always do like to give a disclaimer to newer noses to know that hey this brand does this, and reviewers aren't honest about certain brands. I never felt the need in the old times to do that because all reviewers discovered brands organically but that's not the case anymore so brands get ignored because they have zero social media influence as others get all the limelight even though the quality isn't there. Just my 2 cents why I do it and it's only for certain brands.
