  • Third times a charm! Luck hasn’t gone my way in the past, where big fish like this one have snapped me off. Reasons like these are what inspired us to start filming our outdoor adventures. Mother Nature has a keen ability to abruptly change expectations of your day in the wild. This is why we are addicted to the outdoors. Just guys being dudes with a passion for the outdoors. What's in your wagon?

    You have to be the most chilled guy I have ever seen with a musky on his line.

    It always seems to happen when you least expect it when it comes to musky. Good to know the St. Lawrence still has some quality fish in it!

    Good job you had a leader and light line tied on so you took you time which is better than snapping the line from the leader on the hanging off the beautiful fish.

      I honestly do not target Musky that often, I have a cousing that loves throwing 9-13 inch rapalas and is pretty successful. I must say I have had 2 other musky encounters with same set up I was using in this video. Sometimes they want to eat something smaller. @@nickcampbell9258

      Thats awesome I love drop shooting smallies, I like jackal cross tail minnow, they are like 5 bucks a pack and work just as well as the yamamato D shad minnow. They say bass tubes in a green pumpkin/mustard yellow imitate gobies quite nicely, and lately Spy baits are become very popular within the last year. (pretty much a stick bait lure that allows you to fish really deep) Haven't run one myself but a buddy of mine kills em with it. @@nickcampbell9258

      you know walleye fisherman never think about handling species of fish they don't fish for right. im an avid musky nut and you teach people entering the sport, you dont btch other anglers out that DONT EVEN HAVE A REASON TO KNOW BETTER.

    • @StickyRig
      @StickyRig 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hotramen5952 I partly agree with you, but besides the fact it was a musky, it was also simply a big fish. Big fish no matter the species fight harder, expend more energy doing so and need more time to properly recover

  • @Meditation409

    I generally feel that Muskie Fishing is overrated....I prefer larger fish like Spoonbill...Alligator Gar and Giant Catfish....plus Muskies have a high mortality rate after you land them....and Muskie Fishing is very expensive for the lures and tackle....👎👎
