Vader probably tolerates Mousy's existence because he is more helpful than every officer in the Empire.

In truth I think Vader left mousey on purpose because in Vader’s mind anyone he gets attached to is killed or hurt, So maybe he thought the best way to repay him was to simply leave him there to be safe???

Chillingly accurate. To think that if Anakin did similar things to the point of just letting go, or doing nothing, Things could of turned out better for him. Man mousy just brought the feels, and a deeper writing to the character Vader.

Mousey probably reminds Vader about his times with R2 as a droid companion.
Well Vader is fluent the Droid language that he can hold a conversation with a Droid that can only speak in the Droid language. This is a skill that he had gained when he was Anakin Skywalker in his youth
If so, it would be another reason to abandon Mousey, as Vader often strove to bury any connections to his life as Anakin.

You remember in revenge of the Sith when Vader arrived on mustafar and entered the place were the separatist were and in the shot were he is just about to enter the room those little mouse droids are running scared from Vader. What if those droids are the same ones in this comic? So mousey was in revenge of the Sith. How about that.
My first thought
Dang so mousey is from the prequels
News flash they are also present on death star 1, Death star 2 and the moon of Endor in fact these could be the droids that guided Luke to the ship he used to escape in, fact they even boarded princess Leila's ship, in fact it would make sense for Darth Vader to use these as his personal middle men, repair crew, and would be a feasible reason of how he survived the explosion of the first death star and how he could have his tie fighter fixed in space.
@@BlazeMaster To be fair, mouse droids are probably a mass-produced line of droids. The Empire probably has thousands, if not millions, of them across their fleets and bases performing menial tasks.

I always thought that when he had his Palace built later on the same planet he just brought mousy over to their that way he knew one of the things that would repair him was safe and gave the little Droid a reward for helping him

I think it was Anakin's love for droids that made him tolerate Mousy.
I like to think Vader left mousy there for it’s own safety. Palpatine would have Vader destroy mousy as a trial of sorts.
A Droid saving a machine man
I like to imagine Mousey found a way to track Vader and helps him in small insignificant ways. Like keeping his chambers in a tidy manner or maybe hes an anon. spy that feeds info to the Empire

I live for mouse droids. it's crazy it took days for Vader's suit to be built, yet this droid helps vader in a few hours
I guess welding legs and wiring then is a bit easier then constructing a entire suit with life support

Actually this is an awesome expansion of a "character" that constantly appears in Darth Vaders background in the old films, so apparently my hunch is Darth Vader will return for the mouse droids and keep them around for delivery service, in fact these same type of droids are seen constantly on Vaders space ships or in his vincity, so they made it into a cool idea.
I mean he kept a troop of commando droids so it’s 100 percent possible
Mousie could've been the r2d2 too vader, a droid friend that could've helped vader all the way until luke had to destroy vaders body, luke could've just had him around, then mousey could've told r2d2 of what type of person or what vader had accomplished, that could tie in alot of history between those times for a film or something, but vader goes to various planets and that would have to be rewritten for mousey too play some type of part and I've seen enough with Disney's story altering, but like you said I hope we see mousey again, he/she has so much potential to be a fan favorite even if it's only for a few chapters

I feel that Vader likes droids better than anyone else. People failed him, betrayed him. Droids do what their programming says and that can change. But also they just live to serve just a constant purpose which he can always utilise. Lastly I think it has a little to do with now much machinery he has to use, his suit, his bakta tank and such
Mousie was there when no one else was, Vader was not irrational or irritated with the mouse type droids, I do hope Vader returns to his beloved friend.

I hope poor moussey is alright.
An imperial officer, a honorable, hard working one, who wasn't afraid to put himself in harm's way actually did what no officer was able to do, being a genuine friend to Vader.
I don't think Mousey was disappointed or sad. If it had enough chips to form any kind of emotion, it and it's buddies were probably proud of the good job they did repairing things. It's part of their function, and for the first time in years they got to do something (other than basic maintenance to that base I guess).
I'm interpreting Mousey's last "weeeee!" As a cheer. A "hell yeah that was great! Go get'm! We did good!" Because.. well... not enough brains to recognize Vader at all or the Empire or anything like that. Just enough to recognize broken pieces and wanting to fix them, with a bit of pride that it worked well.
I think he had a hand in building Vader's castle in Mustafar.

my take - mousey was happy to see his friend return to his place in the galaxy - amongst the stars
