Uno Heartstone. You must play the card of the same type, or cost, as the last card that was played. This starts after any player plays the first card of the match
I had one more. Something like "Wild West Heartstone". You can only Quickdraw aka only play cards that entered your hand this turn. Its kinda like this topdeck idea but not so linear since draw and discover works.
I think this challenge would've been more interesting if rule was: you can only play cards you drew this turn. It activates warlock HP and a lot of cards while still not losing the whole "don't use your hand" shtick, you can even make a rule to play them in draw order
If you do this next time, please bring the 1 mana legendary weapon that can change your top deck card, or the 4 mana 4/4 legendary from titans that gives you a new hero power, that can change your opponent's topdeck
Ideas: 1. Hearthstone but the deck can only have cards from A-Z (so the first card needs to start with A, then the second card in the deck start with B...) 2. Hearthstone but all cards have forced outcast (can only play left or right-most card, and demon hunter is banned) 3. Hearthstone but the game starts at turn 10
@@Opno Well, I don't know what he'll ban next time, he's running out of things. Both put the time dragon and cant play it, but are capped at 15 seconds (time is banned). Both put unplayable cards in their decks only (good cards banned), neither can deal damage to the other (hp banned)... Whoever can kill himself first wins (survival is banned)... OR for the players are banned format, he could do what Krip and Day9 already tried, let the audience play their decks via voting or another program. Not original, but that could work, since there are no players, just the audience... Don't know, but I find this funny...
The thumbnail didnt load when i clicked on this Video and i just assumed that both of you would be playing with your nose or feet or smth, needless to say I was kind of disappointed, but at the same time interested again.
I sometimes go back to the albatross video, always hoping to relive watching such great content for the first time again. And here is Lt Eddie providing more, love it.
Well that was an interesting way to play. I think your vids with the strange and different rules for playing the game are my favorite to watch. Oh, and because of Eddy, the warlock Titan shall now be known to me as "Sir Gayest"
This was another fun video to watch! The only thing that confused me is that you always have to play the top decked card, but made it seem like it was illegal for your top decked card to draw you another card and then play that new card? It would then be you top decking a draw card into a new top deck on the same turn. This was more "You can only play the first card drawn in a turn." If it had worked the way I originally understood, Warlock with small bois would be super powerful to just keep playing your deck.
Just now started the video. I hope that one of them plays discard warlock because I feel like that would go crazy. You can still get value from things in your hand.
Also forbidden cards, the guys that spend your whole mana to do a thing. Druid minion that gets 1/1 for each mana, priest one that summons a random minion, warlock summoning tentacles. Also the alterac valley legendary
Idk if you’ve done this one before but you can do a challenge where the opponent picks which cards you can play each turn by choosing like “furthest left/right” “second from the left/right” you can even get some knowledge cause maybe you choose a card the opponent can’t play on 4 mana so that card is obviously more than 4 mana
nice rules personally, I would see where you always have to play 2 cards, for example, I'm curious what you would come up with, because you can't play expensive cards, unless you have really cheap cards to parry , because a lot of these challenges come down to playing one card per round
i thought about a concept where you can only play cards that have "hero power" in them (idk if there's enough of them), but more broadly a challenge where you use your hero power ""only""
A video idea you could try is At the end of the opponents turn you have to call out what you are going to do For example enemy board has 4 minions and you dont have a good play so you say "i will play a tar creeper and ping face" But then you draw a flame strike You are not allowed to play it You can however say, i will play whatever card i draw next and hope it is better than your current hand If you dont have enough mana to play the card, you pass
Speed Deckbuilding Challenge: Have a 3rd party create a simple deckbuilding restriction, then its revealed to you and your opponent right before you duel and you only get a limited amount of time to draft your decks. Like 5-10~ minutes or so.
Playing with my friends. We would build each other decks. Thing was, you would create it with the suggestions that hearthstone recommends. The deck builder would suggest 3 cards and we would always pick the worst card for the deck. We would draft it with the other person watching it, fun as hell.
My first ever legend was with Priest, during DH days... It was a deck with Abatross and Sethekk, deck had no win condition, the idea was to just make my oponent life miserable while generating cards... the name of the deck was "Skill"
Battle of the Outcasts, Hearthstone but you can only play your leftmost or rightmost card, bonus difficulty you can only play from your left OR your right.
Hearthstone where each player drafts their own deck in Arena, but they do it live and take turns drafting cards for their deck. A player could avoid drafting Rustrot Viper if the other person picked Mage and such.
Idea for a game: You must kill the opposing hero in one hit only. You can't damage them during the game, only when it would result in a kill. Armor warrior breaks this but still
Im surprised none of them went for the quests for their dead hand cards, in my mind that's a good way of thinning your deck, keeping more expensive stuff could be better though, idk.
Honestly it would've been a better video if it worked like that, top deck only felt a bit too restrictive. Being able to play any card drawn on a given turn would've opened up some more interesting cards and strategies while still pretty much fitting the theme.
Long time ago I saw how Forsen played 2 mana challenge. This means only 2 mana cards can be in your deck. I think it is interesting challenge to revisit in modern hs
Should have made deck that give your opponent cards and win this way, like kill a minion spell from druid that draw 2 cards, this legendary that give 2 bots in hand (maybe as last filling), even murloc that draws 2 cards could have been good in discard lock. Probably there is way more cards like this, imagine just fully fill your opponents hand and than watch him pressing hero button over and over again (Probably concede is better lule).
The fact I dislike about this challenges is that how disbalanced first and second player become. In regular hs second player gets an additional card and a coin to balance that he goes second; but in this challenge you made it so you throw away the coin and having the additional card in the starting hand is actually a bad thing
i feel like not letting yourselves play the card you drew is to strict because it technically still counts as a top deck as long as its your last card drawn.
Next, Hearthstone but we can only play RNG cards. (any cards that give/summon/attack/etc randomly) Edit: discover works but you gotta random number generate the card you choose
Where my boy King Mukla at? If you do this again, you guys might need to ban that one guy that puts 3/3s in the opponent's hand that get summoned on his deathrattle though. Mukla's one thing but that guy would be too ridiculous.
Eddy whipping out demon hunter no matter the challenge will always be my favorite part about these videos
Spoilers!
Jk, we all knew it was gonna happen
Absolutely, I was looking forward to see his Demon Hunter deck
And winning.
Demon Hunter is a good pick for this one though
Uno Heartstone. You must play the card of the same type, or cost, as the last card that was played. This starts after any player plays the first card of the match
Amazing idea
I had one more. Something like "Wild West Heartstone". You can only Quickdraw aka only play cards that entered your hand this turn. Its kinda like this topdeck idea but not so linear since draw and discover works.
Similarly you could apply this to health/attack. Maybe one of the numbers has to match the previous card played
@@Rarran please do this one holy
And all your minions have to be 1 of 4 types like murlocs, beasts, mechs, demons, etc
He says the hand is banned, but then he used his hand to move his mouse.
Idk sounds like they both cheated
I meant outcast/quickdraw are perfect for this challenge, no?
Seems like the best way to win this format is to fill your opponent's hand with bananas.
Or force your opponent to draw, for all the classes without bananas.
I think this challenge would've been more interesting if rule was: you can only play cards you drew this turn. It activates warlock HP and a lot of cards while still not losing the whole "don't use your hand" shtick, you can even make a rule to play them in draw order
I can confidently state that this video is a certified rarran classic.
Middle finger emoji for the demon hunter deck is hilarious😂 never change eddy
If you do this next time, please bring the 1 mana legendary weapon that can change your top deck card, or the 4 mana 4/4 legendary from titans that gives you a new hero power, that can change your opponent's topdeck
Eddy not putting patches in his rogue deck blows my mind
5:36 Rarran had a full PTSD Episode there
Spoiler. Put all three quests in your deck to improve mulligan
Nat Pagel drawing a card for your opponent would have gone hard in locking thier hand.
Ideas:
1. Hearthstone but the deck can only have cards from A-Z (so the first card needs to start with A, then the second card in the deck start with B...)
2. Hearthstone but all cards have forced outcast (can only play left or right-most card, and demon hunter is banned)
3. Hearthstone but the game starts at turn 10
The third one is very simple but also super interesting 👌🏼 but it may need to ban certain combos if they're doing it in wild
Second one means he couldnt play with Eddy.
OK, board was banned, targeting was banned, text was banned.... Now this.
Next time: Players are banned.
They will use AI to make their plays. At least if there is a misplay they can say its AI's fault.
He actually looked into that, having two bots play each other, but Leo told him itd probably get him banned lmao
@@Opno Well, I don't know what he'll ban next time, he's running out of things. Both put the time dragon and cant play it, but are capped at 15 seconds (time is banned).

@@OpnoHearthstone but Rarran is banned
The question is how long will it take to play 'Hearthstone is banned' finally?
Neither of them named their deck "both hands off the keyboard" smh.
The thumbnail didnt load when i clicked on this Video and i just assumed that both of you would be playing with your nose or feet or smth, needless to say I was kind of disappointed, but at the same time interested again.
YOOOO NEW VID WITH EDDY
The videos with other content creators are the best! Always funny banter with each and every one!
seriously, please focus on these types of videos, they're the best
I sometimes go back to the albatross video, always hoping to relive watching such great content for the first time again. And here is Lt Eddie providing more, love it.
Hs but your hand is baned when, it's feeting time
The absolute PTSD from the birb is hilarious.
I love every single video with Eddy!!!
Running 3 quests makes your opening hand the best it can be, you don’t lose any cards you want on other turns
Yoooo the call back to red lobster video was crazy, I remember that day and the video.
A deck that adds cards to your opponent's hand would've been great for this format
Well that was an interesting way to play. I think your vids with the strange and different rules for playing the game are my favorite to watch. Oh, and because of Eddy, the warlock Titan shall now be known to me as "Sir Gayest"
"I didn't want to go the albatross route" (is hovered over Animate Dead)
This was another fun video to watch! Adding quests to your deck would be such a 5head play, always have the best mulligan

7:38 "If I can get it..." Oh Rarran, you CAN get IT 😉
Imagine one of you played a mill deck just to fill the opponents hand so they can't do anything anymore
I see Lt Eddy, I click the thumbs up button.
millhouse manastorm would go hard in this
nice rules personally, I would see where you always have to play 2 cards, for example, I'm curious what you would come up with, because you can't play expensive cards, unless you have really cheap cards to parry , because a lot of these challenges come down to playing one card per round

My first thought was Ancestor's Call to just toss creatures from your hand into play at random.
I wouldve thought quest will be good, cos they are guaranteed in opening hand, so it's less lost cards in hand that can't be played
Speed Deckbuilding Challenge: Have a 3rd party create a simple deckbuilding restriction, then its revealed to you and your opponent right before you duel and you only get a limited amount of time to draft your decks. Like 5-10~ minutes or so.

hell yes ! albatross is back baby
I like how Eddy got killed by his own bird
i like how eddy brings some fun decks like the albatross and rarran tryhards on him xD
Hearthstone but every turn you must play until you have no more actions left
The naga that puts end of turn a spell on the opponent deck would be so busted for the priest deck
To this day I don't understand why they won't make Recruit an evergreen keyword, they use it almost as much as lifesteal and discover, it feels like
Battle of the Outcasts, Hearthstone but you can only play your leftmost or rightmost card, bonus difficulty you can only play from your left OR your right.
I really wanted to see eddy play the rogue weapon he drew twice right at the start 😂
Keep up the good work, Rarran
Do you have any suggestions for a mage deck against the Lich King since Kabal lacey got nerfed?
Hearthstone where each player drafts their own deck in Arena, but they do it live and take turns drafting cards for their deck. A player could avoid drafting Rustrot Viper if the other person picked Mage and such.

WE LOVE EDDY
I like these ones a lot! I think you should revisit your favourite themes.
You should do an outcast challenge where you could only play the right or left most cards fr fr
I would have loved to see triple quest in the opening hands since you can't play those cards anyways and makes the deck more consistent
You should do some kind of pauper format, like commons only and only one of each rare
1 sellfish shellfish would've been enough to win the entire format
So, in a nutshell : Every card has to be played as a Quickdraw (keyword).
I think it would be cool to do a challenge of a 30 minion deck where all 30 minions need to share the same key word of their choice
Battlecry or death rattle probably win
Quickdraw: The format
12:57 alright, that warlock legendary will always be "Sir gay-@ss" from now on whenever i try to pronounce it. Whether i want it or not.
Supprised neither of them had quests in every one of their decks
What are the odds that Rarran secretly does have a deck tracker and he's just figured out how to keep it hidden from his recording/streaming software?
Surprised that watch post wasn’t in any of the decks.
In life, your hand is very important...
I feel like they should just make tavern brawls with these rule sets at this point
Next you gotta play cards from left to right only, the only legal card is the oldest one in the hand.
Death Knight Plague is so broken in this minigame.
they should put 3 quests so mulligan is guaranteed trash
Should have made deck that give your opponent cards and win this way, like kill a minion spell from druid that draw 2 cards, this legendary that give 2 bots in hand (maybe as last filling), even murloc that draws 2 cards could have been good in discard lock.
Probably there is way more cards like this, imagine just fully fill your opponents hand and than watch him pressing hero button over and over again (Probably concede is better lule).
Why was he not using life tap?
I guess that would violate the "you can only play the topdecked card" rule.
Rarran is conditioning himself to main infernity in yugioh , based
The fact I dislike about this challenges is that how disbalanced first and second player become. In regular hs second player gets an additional card and a coin to balance that he goes second; but in this challenge you made it so you throw away the coin and having the additional card in the starting hand is actually a bad thing
Bro how has nobody found out about Dinomancer into Fanottem?
I thought that you could use the Warlock hero power by the rules you outlined at the beginning.
The extra D in eddy stands for Demon hunter
ah yes simulating the best* mtg mechanic
You have been pumping out a lot of videos on your channels recently, that's some dedication.
Eddy had lethal in second game if he healed minion instead of himself
Totally unrelated, but Eddy, what the hell are some of those deck titles lmao?
Run every quest... Basically guaranteed perfect mulligan😊
lmao
kinda sad noone thought of just playing mister mukla or similar cards to just fill your oppoents hand 😢
Next Challenge: Hearthstone but you can only play cards with less than 3.0 stars on that rating website from the vid with Roffle
should do only left and right cards but no DH would be fun
i feel like not letting yourselves play the card you drew is to strict because it technically still counts as a top deck as long as its your last card drawn.
If you're using your hand as a resource for discard, then is the hand really "banned"?
Curse warlock would have been busted for this
SarGayAss is the best isht i've ever heard xD
an idea for next match - decks with exactly
2 legendaries
4 epics
8 rare
16 common
Can't you just play like frozen over, coldlight oracle, shellfish and just win the game for free by enemy having a full hand?
Holy shit, ur cooking.
That would be kinda boring though
Next, Hearthstone but we can only play RNG cards. (any cards that give/summon/attack/etc randomly)
Edit: discover works but you gotta random number generate the card you choose
Hearthstone but everything is banned
Rogue would've potentially have been annoying af if yoh bounced your opponents full hand back to them.
Where my boy King Mukla at?
If you do this again, you guys might need to ban that one guy that puts 3/3s in the opponent's hand that get summoned on his deathrattle though. Mukla's one thing but that guy would be too ridiculous.
