You should do a challenge where you make a list of rules each player has to follow when deck building. But then both you and the other person can each choose three rules you get to ignore. It would be interesting to see which rules each person chooses to break.

I don't care if it's a mess, the focus of these videos never feel like it's on the challenge anyway, but rather the wacky decks and banter between you and Eddy.

That would not allow for spellburst but Rarrans weapon in game 2 and Eddies Demon that summons demons on hero attack would be fair game.
first game, Rarran played Gigafin with full board, so he did not summon anything. - also cheating
Rarran not reading his own rules is exactly what a YGO player would do
A Yugioh player would go "Wait, this card SUMMONS? Since when? Is that an ignition effect or a trigger effect? Did it miss timing? Why isn't every card in your deck Diamond or Signature? What do you mean you only played one card on turn 2?"
Two similar format ideas for you, one that you might have to wait a bit to do:
1. Decks that must have 3 cards from every year of Hearthstone's history (Probably ban Renathal to keep the decks at 30 cards)
2. A deck with one card from each expansion. With Whizbang's workshop we're at 27 including classic and excluding adventures (I also didn't include Caverns of Time which you could include). They would all be highlander decks so you could either embrace that or exclude highlander payoff cards.

I think you would be better off with simpler wording for a challenge. For example, this one could just be: "Every card you play needs to either have a word 'summon' and actually summon or have a keyword that has 'summon' in its explanation (like Colossal)".
Using the DeArrow extension, this video has already been renamed to "Hearthstone with Decks Where Every Card Has to Summon at Least One Additional Minion in Some Way"

A deck restriction ruleset like this makes a fine video, but when BOTH of you fuck up multiple times it's just hilarious, man- I loved the creeping realization of like, we're both so bad at this
I'd love to see a revisit with either looser rules (any summon effect allowed) or stricter rules (even hero powers not allowed if they don't summon). Even without, these videos are always so fun to watch so please make as many as you can stand to do

id recommend making a sheet with an example of what card is legal for each card type (spell, weapon, etc). Then maybe 1 or 2 good examples of cards that look legal but arent
You can tell Rarran is excited to play this format
You should do a challenge like this with specific rules but the player who loses gets to rework their deck according to the rule, or maybe even something like starting with one deck and creating a new deck within the rules each time you lose
To be fair, you really should've just specified that it HAS to have a battlecry to summon or be a spell lol

Idk I actually thought the Gibberer and the weapons were fine, because at the beginning Rarran was explaining that it has to summon something and it "has to be on the board before the end of the turn." So both of those would be fine as long as you make the attack or proc the Spellburst.
This was a really good idea and would have made a good video. The rules snafus and deckbuilding mistakes turned this into a great video. I haven't laughed this much at a single video in a long time lol
this was rly cool and yeah hard to construct since a lot of stuff can summon stuff but not as directly/instantly as what the rules says is permitted, very fun watch and as a time viewer i’m very glad your channel grown despite the state of hearthstone :)

You should do some kind of "Keyword showdown". Making decks where every card in that deck MUST utilize or interact with a specific keyword. I don't know if you'd have different keyword decks fight each other or specifically do mirror matches, but I remember doing some stupid "windfury faceoffs" in the early Hearthstone days that were silly fun.
Also, you could probably simplify this format a bit by narrowing the parameters to "Any card you play MUST have the word 'summon' on it." Meaning any card you generate that doesn't say that is a dead card.

The deck building mistakes are fine because it just ended up implicitly changing the rule to "must summon the turn it's played"

I would loosen the game rules to: It has to summon on the turn it was played.
So as long as you can trigger the summon in the same turn, it's fine. Would have to be discussed with the other player, but I would also regard Colossal minions as not summoning, since it is per lore part of the same creature.
Another video idea:
You and Eddy build 3 decks, and you have to build those decks such that all of the following deck building restrictions are used:
All odd
All even
No duplicates
All legendaries
No Neutrals
No Spells
So, the first deck could be a no spell, all legendary deck
The second deck could be all even legendaries,
and the last could be no neutral, all odd.
Or any other combo you can think up, as long as you use all 6 restrictions

Honestly I think conditional summons would be fine for the challenge as long as they're only played when they're guaranteed to trigger that turn.

Nah man, this video was fire. We are very much here for the goofs and gaffs, not strict adherence to the rules, despite what the comment section may have you believe 😂
also I know it might be too similar but the idea from other comments of "every card has to summon something before you can play another card" would be a cool ruleset because then you could yolo puzzle-boxes or something, or use the locations, and the cards like the satyr, desert spear, and gibberling would all be allowed
So the only reason I have TH-cam premium is so that I can listen to videos while I drive and I have to say this video was so distracting that I did a full backflip onto another truck because of the hunter conversation lost my job lost my car, but won a great laugh.
