a quick fix for tension headaches is to squeeze that skin between your thumb and pointer has hard and as long as you can. release. you will get some rebound. do it again. and again until your headache is gone. each rebound should be less. you can switch sides.

Years ago, I became a Nutritional Health Coach on my way to finding out why I felt so bad. The only times I had headaches (including migraines) were when I ate certain foods - mostly with gluten. (And, tiny amounts of gluten do add up, leading to a slow degradation of my health.) Eliminating gluten is essential for me. I have also eliminated many other top allergens - and I feel much better. Also, you're right-on about "Sleep Hygiene" (how we prepare for restful sleep) - even this has become more complicated. Being Healthy is NOT a given anymore. I applaud you for bringing all this essential information forward. It took me years to educate myself - and I am a former medical researcher. Great explanations of the research & the different ways we can help ourselves - naturally! Thank you. Namaste

You’re so right re foods - I can get an immediate and bad headache with coffee, chocolate, alcohol, whatever is in some processed foods, artificial sweeteners even stevia, and sugar on an empty stomach. Interesting caffeine can cause them because it’s usually what stops them, unless you’re speaking of eventually causing rebounds. I got the posture correcting device Yoni went very slowly at first. Currently do 4 minutes with 2 pounds could probably up it now.

Thanks for sharing, Candleflower! The relationship between caffeine and pain is complex and interesting. I talk all about it in this video - th-cam.com/video/ZtyDolnKGao/w-d-xo.html

@@painfixprotocol thanks Yoni I missed that one. I’ve gotten in the habit of taking caffeine pills for my fatigue but don’t think they do much good anymore, and also have fibromyalgia so should try to get off, but now need it for headaches and getting off it to eliminate rebound headaches is brutal - did it about 30 years ago, neurologist put me on disiprimine and amitriptyline and said no caffeine period. Worked, but oh the pain for a couple weeks.

Thanks for this info! Good to know your personal triggers, and I found that for me it might take a combo of 2-3 triggers to cause a headache. Mine are dehydration and a change in caffeine level (like I missed my morning cup of tea, or ate some chocolate). Not eating when hungry or being in bright sunlight can trigger migraine also. The neck exercises sound good, I'll check them out!
