Ex season ticket holder, (2006-2023). Dan, you hit it out of the park. All are factors. Stopped for personal reasons. Not because PC was fired. Great show.
And yes, after every game it would take 2-3 days to get our voices back to normal.

The product the officials are giving us from week to week make it hard to even watch. It’s even worse live when you can see the blatant tampering by the officials and lack of replays on the mega screens during obvious bs flags. They’d rather show gambling ads etc

Great show, Dan. Very good insight into some of the factors that i haven't heard talked about elsewhere. My dad was a season ticket holder from 1983-1988. I was fortunate enough to to watch my heroes like Curt Warner, Steve Largent, Kenny E, and Jacob Green. We sat at about the 25 yd line on the Seahawks side of the field and it was simply amazing. We'd yell and scream and hug and high-5 total strangers and somehow it was all OK. I was just a kid but I will have those memories forever. But it's not 1984 anymore. Things have changed and at the end of fhe day, football is a business. Being a fan can be quite emotional and sentimental, but football can be a cold and unfeeling business.
Play better. You nailed it with that one. Fans don't owe fealty to a sports team. I will always be a Seahawks fan. If they go winless for the next decade, they'll still be my team. But I am not the moral compass for sports enjoyment and I don't get to tell someone else how to root for a team. It's that simple. Enjoy your holidays brother and i hope work begins to let up soon. Thanks for an excellent stream and I apologize for writing a book of a comment here.

I was at the Panthers game in 2005. Yeah that was amazing. In my opinion it started with the 3 missed FG's by the Giants kicker in the home game against them earlier that year. Was such a wildly unlikely win and we all got a bit crazier with each miss. It became recognized in suddenly in the media how loud the crowd was. The playoffs were at an even higher level. So much at stake.

    Love your content Dan.
I agree, nothing like that NFC Champ game against Panthers. When Paul raised that flag, insane

GB also consistently ranks as one of the best travelling teams. Since Love seems to be good and there is a new DC, this year feels fresh and exciting

Dan you explained the issue perfectly, great episode, this team is been Mid for the past 4 years, fans don’t want a push over team after Pete Carroll built one of the best Seahawks teams

❤ Also C Olu shud be back. 12s won 4 in a row after Olu replaced retired pro bowler Connor Williams. Both Geno & Sam H got clobbered when both C Olu & RG Laumea got hurt in Q1 Vs packers.
Geno struggles in red zone as 12s have the worst iOL. They got Connor W in FA but he was forced into retirement after playing hurt all yr.
Olu is back & it makes a big difference.
    ❤ This show

I had season tickets till my brother lost them in a divorce that somehow she claimed mine and my other brother's tickets as hers in the legalities cause that was the only year she put them on her credit-card. Yes I'm still bitter even though it was about 10 yrs ago! I do remember that there were always a ton of people from opposing teams always in the stadium but we could keep them quiet cause we were always ahead. I do remember that teams would practice with boomboxes trying to simulate the crowd noise that could be generated in the Kingdome because it was known as the loudest stadium in the country and in 1984 the number 12 was retired to for the fans. They built the current stadium for noise to carry on the legacy, and there were always people from apposing teams but the local fans could always drown them out. I think what is happening is that the local fans are just not being as engaged, and as Dan says we just need to start winning at Home to engage the loudness of our 12 man home field adventage. Its pretty bad that when show like Pat McAfee say that our home field is gone we need to make a change!

Seattle plays soft at home! The crowd is usually made up of mostly the visitors.

Shows how many games you actually go to. Cause the tickets are too damn expensive for any of us to go to. It’s ridiculous. The diehards can’t afford tickets and the yuppies are to good to yell

@@Perfumery_by_Sabin you can get into almost any game buying tickets on the secondary resale market for between three and four hundred dollars for TWO tickets if you aren't picky about where you sit......sometimes less...i look every week....right now 40 yard line upper level TWO tickets right around $350 with fees....people are just too lazy or don't care enough to look for them...or just want to complain with no real knowledge....

My wife and I were at the vs GB game. We both screamed every time GB was huddling...so much so that I had to gargle salt water the next morning. You wanna know what happened to the 12's? What REALLY happened to the 12's? Well, it's simple. Seattle won a Super Bowl over a decade ago. Attendance skyrocketed, and ever since, there's been a year's long waitlist for season tickets. We got a little worse the next year; a little worse the year after that. LOB gone. Russell Wilson gone. Pete Carroll gone. Now we are rebuilding--new coach(es), an interim QB, very little star power, a broken O-line, and a rookie OC that thinks you can win games solely through the air. We have a barely above average win percentage, and can only beat losing teams. Get your head out of your ass, and start speaking the truth. Fans get excited by wins, and lose interest with losses. Once we figure out that middling QBs, and aging skill players aren't the key to championships, the fans will return. Don't get me wrong, I am a diehard Hawks fan and am really looking forward to all the affordable games I'll get to attend in the coming years, until J. Allen and J. Schneider are uprooted.

Shitty fans is what happened. “Fans” are buying season tickets and selling them for profit online to whomever wants to buy them. It’s unacceptable. Ownership needs to step in and restrict sales of season tickets.

    • @brianmyers4444
      @brianmyers4444 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

You can’t….ticket holders own them…..can do with them what they please….league would never vote to allow restrictions as it risks empty seats and reduced revenue…..win and they will come….

I think it is that nobody believes in Geno, even though he has played damn good. The d hasn't helped it either. PC being gone isn't the issue IMHO. We were all stoked about McDonald coming in as much as we loved Pete. But it was time. Howell showed us how much better Geno is. If not for injury, we were still in it.

Well Dan the seahawks have sucked the past 6-7 years and you know Dan the economy hasn't been great Dan and you know Dan most people prefer to feed their children before going to a seahawks game they know they'll lose Dan... So, Dan what's your deal bud?... because Dan you're sounding like a ticket salesman over here Dan...

I agree with this. It is more about affordability more than anything. Fandom is a status symbol, and America is all about blaming the poor now. They are "crappy fans" because they can't afford to go. All the other explanations are rationalizations and excuses for the opportunity to hit down instead of up. This is where we are at now. The owners are blameless. It is the "fans" fault.
