For a 21 year old r33 it looks very Good, underbody rust no big deal, but it looks like a floor jack caused some damage to side sills and then it got rust.

I just don't thing it's worth $36,000 for a car from 1998 since a number of people on TH-cam in the USA have them now. It's a great car yes, but once a ton of people have them and the value drops because no one wants to buy an old car what do you do? For someone like me who doesn't have a lot of money to buy one then dump another $30,000 in upgrades in to it. I just don't see the point of paying so much for it. just my opinion.
In the UK I've seen examples selling at the equivalent of 39K USD however those are premium prices and the r33 I'm looking it at is 4.5 grade and almost looks like it came off the factory. I think the previous owner in Japan literally never took it out in the rain. So to answer your question yes 36k is steep considering the car is incomplete and has rust issues...

There’s been actual verified sales of clean 1995s selling for 75k. The market went crazy this year. Also saw a bone stock 1995 Honda Civic go for 40k wtf is going on hahaha
Love the series 3 the car is in great condition I know black is a hard colour to maintain but looks amazing. There are cars that are only a couple of years old with more rust then this. It’s very minor rust and easy to repair. Glad I bought my series 3 2 years ago looking at the way the prices are going ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ Love the videos
James Thomas ahh nice one. Prices have gone mad...back in 2015 I could have bought a r33 Gtr here in Ireland for 12 grand. Just hadn’t got the funds at the time as we wore going through a recession...ended up paying Nearly double that a few years later 🙈😆

Seriously though Dotson, There's nobody better than Garage Defend to buy that R33 GTR and clean up, Sort the surface rust, Protect it and preserve it. It looks very clean otherwise. Just needs a little love and protection. It's better to catch it when you can and savebot before it gets bad. This is a dream car for me and one of the best I've ever driven. I think you should buy it 😎 👍🏻
We can import the R33 GTR to the US it just has to be an earlier model/year. But it would cost a lot to import and get it registered and "compliant" for NHTSA & EPA
I would pay $36k all day. In January we will be able to start getting the 1995 r33 and they are already looking to be around $45k so $36k seems excellent to me.

The lowest I have seen GTR33 in the UK is £15k. But they are typically advertised from £18-25k with rare exceptions to 30k+ GTR32 in UK is £20k-£30k with very rare exceptions being £40k. ( I should not have sold my personally imported GTR32 -it was even cleaner than the GTR33 in this video 😔) Most of the U.K. Skyline GTR has well over 100KM , Unknown mileage due to 300km clock replacement And some actually over 100k miles !! GTR32 in USA is selling for around 30k USD. GTR33 in Japan for 37k USD FOB is approx £37k inc (CIF + taxes) but average UK price for GTR33 is £22k (£15k more 🙁)

Being a series 3 R33 GTR is great. Rust is a worry. Missing rear trunk floor liner is a thumbs down. Something else in the trunk seems off.
