We never go on vacation (Hiking in the Kleinwalsertal)

At the end of May, we went on a hiking trip with my husband's family to the Kleinwalsertal in Austria.
We never go on vacation. We prefer to stay home--or move to a new place. 25 hours of driving. 8 people. Thousands of liters of rain. 3 days of hiking. I'm not sure it's in balance. I'd rather move again.

Absolutely stunning!! Some of my best hikes have included getting caught in an unexpected storm. They certainly are the most memorable. The drone footage was perfect.

Pepper didn't have a good time at first. But once neighbors picked him up at the doggy hotel, he improved. He must have eaten something wrong at the hotel, because he had a really bad stomachache until after our return. He's back to normal by now but it took some time. Our neighbors were amazing!

I have some very kind neighbors but also some that are the opposite. The ones I get along with are great!
