I don’t like the rigging of the opponent assigner (for lack of a better name) because it’s clearly angled to make it unfairly harder for you as a skilled player and it makes it so there’s not a real meta that develops that you can challenge and build your decks around
There is a way to cheat said meta: whenever it asks you if you had fun in a match, always answer no. It'll take whatever deck you just fought and consider it an unfun matchup and try to find decks that aren't that. I had a quest of kill 20 creatures and fought four consecutive control decks. Said I didn't enjoy the last matchup and didn't see another control player the rest of the day.
Great deck! I might try to make this my first blue control paper commander. I also loved most of Alex Garland's movies (Ex Machina and Annihilation were indeed great movies.) I suggest watching the TV show he did too, Devs.

You know what I first thought of when I saw this creature? Xolatoyac, the backup commander from the Ixalan merfolk deck, and the one they actually added to arena. He also uses flood counters, so those two together might be actually crazy
Didn't they kinda figure the match making algorithm a while back? Your commander + the cards on your deck had hidden scores assigned, and you got matched to similar ones. Resulting in meta decks facing meta decks, and fringe decks facing fringe decks. Which if you wanted this to happen there's a goddarn ladder system . If you go to random matches, it should be random
@@TheDevonshireMint theres a lot of cards that do the same thing. Night of Souls Betrayal is probably better than Kaervek. Ill assume youre not running any of them, but Maha is still broken and oppressive. Just dont make the whole deck -1/-1 effects, because it wont work if they have effects that grow their creatures, and its not a great gameplan on its own
You forgot to add a line to on camera part. "Hi, I'm MTG Josh and I am the best Magic TH-camr period." That last game was cracking me up against that RDG player. I have so many games like that.
