Hey Bill. I was always going to use this theme when I started my TH-cam channel. Any of John Carpenter's themes from the late 70s and early 80s would have been fantastic but assault in particular is one of my favourites
Those Czechs make unbelievable boxsets. The price is of course very high, but the attention for detail and the love in these boxsets. Simply amazing!
I'm in love with the artwork on the envelopes. If it was me I would have used that artwork on the steelbooks. Just more unique than the more common artwork on the steelbooks. But that's just a tiny nitpick. Thanks for the video again!

You're absolutely right filmarena do some of the best editions out there but as you said it comes at a price and that's why I'm going to be very selective when it comes to buying editions Like These. I have one more coming and that is it when it comes to these one click editions. Jeff I absolutely agree with you. Like I said in the video this edition makes more sense to me than Forrest Gump. You have a 4K edition. You have a 3D edition. Both have different Steelbooks as well and of course the beautiful CPU. It really is a spectacular release and I feel so fortunate to have it. Outstanding set, Keith! Love the artwork and that lenticular slipcover is really neat. The big brain chip is a really interesting piece.
The CPU is what Drew me to this edition because I actually have the terminator arm in my collection and I always wanted the CPU. It really is a beautiful edition and the only downside is the poor 4K transfer you get with it. Thankfully the 3D version is there as well and I heard great things about that

Oh yes T2, when I saw the thumbnail I knew it was a banger. Great lenticulars and love the texture of the steelbooks. The chip was so cool, bigger than expected but you wouldn't mind that cause it was so well made. I thought the chip was going to be 60% intact like in the film but really cool that it was actually a full cpu.I think it was one of the first times I seen that artwork of the t-1000 coming from the floor in the hospital used in any t2 edition. Looking forward to next piece.
Hey Steve. I have to admit when I done the thumbnail for this video I had a funny feeling it might do well. The CPU is something I desperately want it and I'm so happy that it's bigger than it should be because it was really small like in the movie it really would have been lost in this box set. It will go beautifully with my terminator arm edition. The set itself is honestly one of the best I've ever seen and like I said in the video it makes more sense to me than the Forrest Gump one. Not taking anything away from that set because it's Extraordinary as well. Hopefully my next and last film arena edition will arrive in the next couple of weeks. It's looking good that one as well. What a great boxset! 4k steelbook might be luminous one I have so try turn off lights to see if lights up. I've been lucky to met JC when he signed my Terminator blu ray (one of my prized possessions) and also meet the legend Arnie and Robert Patrick

I still think everything about this movie holds up today and it's probably why none of the sequels ever came close to it. I didn't pick up heat yet on 4K but I am going to do it. A fellow TH-camr going by the name of the movie collector aka John Clancy who is an expert on everything 4K and he gave it a very good review. Apparently everyone was saying that it looks very dark but according to John that's exactly how it looked when he went to see in the cinema. So I'm going to take his word for it and pick it up someday

This Maniacs box set of T2 is so far the crown jewel in my collection. And T2 is in my top-3 best movies of all time. Everything is amazing in this set and the box art is beautiful which ever way you have it on display. Excellent pickup Keith. Regarding the other item that you have on the way, my order has not been shipped yet so you might get your's before I do. But I will let you know about the box if I get it soon enough.
Hey Sebastian. It's very hard to disagree with that my friend because honestly I think it's one of the best I've seen aswell. I start thinking about what you said about the Mission Impossible and being afraid of missing out and I decided what the hell go for it. Thankfully I was able to find a picture of the box set open and it looks very similar to the Terminator set and that can't be bad in my eyes. Funny you said that yours hasn't been shipped because mine hasn't been either and it's been over a week. Not quite sure what's taking so long because they are in stock according to their website.

It was the same with my last order, it took a while to get it but the package was very well protected. I'm guessing that Filmarena is a small company that don't have the same "manpower" to handle orders like Amazon etc. But not to worry, we will get the boxes eventually. 😊

Honestly Jeffrey I do not know how many I own but if I had to guess I say it would be somewhere close to 8000. What you didn't see in this video is by other movie room that holds all my DVDs.
@@millerman9991 Awesome collection if you house looks like mine I have dvd's, blu-rays, 4k, and believe it or not 1000+ VHS tapes (remember them) in a 2-story house I have an extensive collection and everyone is amazed at my collection when they walk in the door.
Believe it or not Jeffrey but I must have at least close to 2000 VHS still in this house. I'm hoping someday to move out of the country and build a big room to hold my entire collection including my VHS. Collecting VHS was probably the best time in my movie collecting journey.

@@millerman9991 we got here in Austria & Germany a silver 30th Anniversary Steelbook which contains also the 3D-Version, the 4K-Disc and a Blu ray with all 3 Cuts of the film.

Fantastic set Keith 👍. Filmarena produce some wonderful editions and I have a few myself in my collection. I do have the 4k slip case and goodies for T2 minus the Steelbook found it on ebay for a reasonable price. Have you seen the Back to the Future set they brought out the timestamp edition boxset. It looks amazing saw one go on ebay pre order for £500 wow not cheap at all. Great video 👍
Hey Matt. I remember seen some of your filmarena Editions and as far as I remember you have a Terminator 3 edition. Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember that looking amazing. I seen the Back to the Future set and the reason why I didn't bother buying it and why I will never buy it is because everything that you get inside it I already have in other editions. Even the steelbooks. So I didn't see the point buying it
@@millerman9991 yeah most of the goodies inside are the same but still fantastic presentation from Film arena. I have the first 3 Terminator films in Filmarena editions. Terminator 1 and 2 don't have the original steelbooks with them I just brought without those in as alot cheaper. But I got lucky with T3 and managed to get the set complete for a reasonable price.
I'm actually trying to get that Terminator 3 edition because I thought it looked amazing. Hopefully I can get it somewhere down the line

Awesome presentation you did there. 😎👍🏻 The only drawback for me in general is that my preferred version is the extended edition. Which does not come in 3D or 4K. So I only got this set because of its looks and T2 being my favorite movie. And it certainly didn't dissapoint in that regard. 😍
I get where you're coming from because I am the exact same. I only watch this again the other night in 3d and it's just not the same without the extended cut. Not taking anything away from the theatrical cut of this movie because it is fantastic but I've gotten too used to the extended cut. The set itself is one of the best premium editions I've ever owned and despite the fact that we didn't get the extended cut on 4k I'm still extraordinarily happy with this release. That artwork (especially the back art) is amazing!! As much as I rate the Forrest Gump set, I think the artwork is so good on this set!! 🤩🤩👌👌 yeah I wouldn't take any stickers off! Is the transfer good on the 4K?
Unfortunately no. It's universally hated on 4k. Lots of DNR used on the transfer.

A very rare Terminator 2 dvd black tin edition, thou if i had a choice to watch any movie on 4K it would be Terminator 2 first off.
I have to admit it was nice to get such a beautiful collectible of Terminator 2. I have a few nice pieces for that movie but nothing to this level. I actually have the silver tin version on DVD. Has there ever been a good transfer of this movie? Maybe its nostalgia but I remember the rental vhs looked amazing even if it was pan and scan.
The only transfer that's good for Terminator 2 is the 3D version. It looks amazing on 3D. But other than that I can't think of another time where this movie look good other than as u mentioned VHS. It's crazy when you think about it. It deserves so much better
Hey Keith, that's a lovely set! I still haven't upgraded my old Terminator dvds, kinda hoping for a release with great transfers but I might have to start thinking about a release like this. Always great to get prop replicas, that stuff makes it just that bit more special! Is the 4k the same as the 3d transfer? I remember reading somewhere that they used the 3d transfer and that's why it's the way it is because they have to remove all the grain for the 3d effect to work. Could be wrong though.
Yes the 3D transfer is the same as the 4K and that's why we got such a poor 4K transfer. I think they were thinking about the 3D more than the 4k. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in 3D. Something's telling me it's going to be quite amazing. It really is a beautiful edition and something I've been wanting to get for a while now and to actually have it in my collection is something very special. The CPU in particular is something I desperately wanted because I do have the terminator arm and I thought the CPU was a nice touch to go with that. Is the ultimate cut available in the 4k version or just the 1080p??
No unfortunately it's only on the Blu-ray. I'm not sure why they didn't feature it on the 4K release
@Euphoria Pictures shame.. T2 and Aliens are probably two of my favourate movies pf all time. Funny, they were both directed by the same directir.The special effects were way ahead of their time. The good thng about these older moveies is that they weren't too short nor too long, different story lines and never get fed up Today movies are too long and same story lines and I only watch newer movies once once they get released then forget about them read that the movie was difficult to remaster in 4k and there were issues, hence why there was a delay in the release of the 4k version. So only the theatrical version is available in 4k???
I think the reason why Terminator 2 looks so poor on 4K is because of the 3D release of it. Whatever it is with grain and 3D it doesn't seem to work. I remember watching Top Gun where they kept the original grain structure to that movie on 3D and it never worked. So unfortunately they based the 4K transfer of Terminator of that 3D scan. I'm hoping someday they will revisit it and give us the transfer and a more definitive edition to this movie.
This is my favourite movie, followed by Silence of the Lambs and Alien. I have T2 blu ray, I guess I'll be waiting a while to get a decent 4k.
Unfortunately it's going to be a long time until we get a decent 4K transfer. If we get one at all all. Probably one of my favourite sci-fi movies and hopefully the 3D looks good on this release. With James Cameron behind it I'm sure it will. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video

Hey David I was having the exact same issue as yourself and I found a way around it sort of. You can buy the Steelbook on Amazon France. The only problem is the title is in French. I have it pre-ordered and I'm waiting to see what happens but it's the only way to get around it at the moment

It's a terrible transfer. It's the exact same as the others. The 3d version is the way to see it when it comes to this release
Does this come with the Extended Cut of the film?
Hey Rob. The Blu-ray comes with the the extended cut but it's definitely not on the 4k. Actually I need to check to see if it's on the 3D edition. But something's telling me it's not
What's the picture quality of the 4K disc?

I wouldn't say it the worst 4K transfer Mark but it's not a million miles away from it. One of the reasons to why I picked this set up was to get the 3D version of it. I've heard great things about it

In all fairness I think I got very lucky. I've seen other Editions going on eBay for nearly 500. I think I was just at the right place at the right time. Doesn't always work out that way
Is the CPU the wrong colour? It looks red in the movie. If they got that wrong... there's no excuse for that... on such an expensive box set. It's not a working prop, the least they can do is get the colour and size authentic to the film - otherwise, what's the point?
I think there is two variants of the CPU you can get. You can get the one I have here the Gold and silver and you can get red and gold. I prefer the silver and gold because it has a more premium look to it. I like that it's quite big as well well because if it was anyway smaller it would have been lost in this box set.

Hey Pete. It really is a terrible 4K transfer and the only reason why I picked this up was to get the 3D version and of course the CPU. I think it's one of the best premium Editions I've seen and I'm so fortunate to have it. Thanks for taking the time to check it out my friend

I did say in the video that I bought it for a 3D release more than anything and of course for the CPU. I'm sure someday there will be a new 4K transfer and hopefully they will get it right

You're absolutely correct as a matter of fact I think I seen a Predator edition going for over €1,000. That's why I said in this video I'm going to be very selective which ones I buy and after the next one that I have coming that is me done for a while. Definitely do not want to get into this too often. Cost an absolute fortune

Hey Chris. Unfortunately every bit of grain has been removed from the 4K transfer and it gives everything a smooth outlook and it removes a lot of the fine detail. But if you like it that's the important thing and dont let me put you off it.
Me neither. A very good job has been done for this release. The 4K is just great. Removing the grain ? The best thing we can do on every movie. Team no grain ;-)
Even though I'm not watching the 4K as I only watch the extented edition. All the removed scene are cool.

I agree, i havent done it in years.. BUT, you're gonna get a much better quality than streaming. And I hate that streaming services tend not to have movies i wanna watch sometimes too.. Bring back blockbusters! :D
I have to admit I completely miss read that comment because I thought he was just talking about physical Media in general. I just realised he mentioned DVDs and yes you do have to agree
with him. But like you said Billy streaming will never be as good as physically owning a 4K release when it comes to quality.
Always have a place in my heart for DVD. Some of the best packaged DVDs have also some the best special features. Fight Club the perfect example. Or even the Lord of the Rings extended editions. They put loads of special features on DVD back in the old days. In my opinion the producers never made the most of blu rays.
