A easy way to cut out for the LB conduit is to use a hole saw the size of the conduit, then trim from the bottom up. If the metal is flex enough, just make one cut up the middle.
Fantastic job Colin. Martin will be amazed at your work. It's good you can be there to help them out. Skills you will use the rest of your life. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Colin you are a young man sho has wise mind . You took your time and with a little finessing and help from your beautiful wife you got past that very tricky area with multiple cut outs great job young man Martin Julie and your beautiful wife should be proud of that area . It looks really good now you have finnished and I agree it's time now to move to next project
Impressive work Colin! You obviously have the patience and attention to detail. You keep learning new skill that will help you throughout your life! Good job!
Great job guys. I'm siding with metal as well! I have a good amount of trim details on my page! Metal siding is really tedious and you had the right idea to use galvanized metal, no worries of scratching the paint off any of it.
Looks amazing! Great job, Colin and Sara! Good luck, Seth! How exciting! My son lives in Tennessee! Safe travels to you all as y'all go and when you come back. House is lookin great! God bless. 🙏🏼🙂❤️
Collin, my grandpa (who was a carpenter) used to tell me: “Measure seven times, and then cut once.” So measuring and re-measuring and then re-re-measuring before cutting is to be commended.
Harbor Freight sell various different hole saw sets from carbon steel (cheapest) to bi-metal ones (better steel quality, more expensive and more equivalent to the Milwaukee ones) Looks like the one you were using was the carbon steel version.
I noticed you have old style AC units (room AC). Surprised you haven't been sponsored by Mr Cool and install multiple mini-split units or a multi-zone unit. I'm sure they would make it worth your while financially. Can't imagine those use more electricity than the wall units you are using now.
Good job! One question though, won't the metal siding catch all the sun rays and heat the whole house? I'm wondering what are the benefits, and if a huge flaw compared to wood would be to lose insulation AND produce more heat in the summer. But maybe you aim for that, for cold winters?
Where is Safety Sally? Working with sharp metal, No safety Glasses nor Gloves? Tell her I'm reporting her to OCHA. You'all are too important to me to have her slacking off.
you should be wearing gloves working with sheet metal and corrugated metal. looking good though. Does the nibbler not work on sheet metal? Seems to me it should work better than manual tin snips.

Please note: After all this work putting up siding, my back does not hurt at all. "We" did a great job guys 'n gals. 🥵

That house wrap has been exposed to the weather and has lost its effectiveness. Don’t waste the tape or the energy, replace it.
The only question I have is when are you going to start using Metric measurements.
Should wear gloves when working with metal
