4:30 I actually watched this movie as a kid in 2009. In the Spanish dub (one of the original dubs) Leo isn’t a vegetarian cub, he’s a weening cub that can’t get enough of his mother’s milk. His mom takes him to hunt in order to cut him off and teach him to eat meat. The trauma he got from the death of his mother turned him into a vegetarian because the reason she died was because she died on the hunt. Also the heart of the jungle is originally referred to as “the river of milk”

I am TELLING you right now I use to watch this A LOT as a kid (not even the original dub, on Netflix English dub) I KNEW how bad it was it was just so entertaining haha, and that sounds like a way darker and better plot that whatever the hell we got.

Ignoring nutritional needs Leo wouldn't even have the proper jaw or set of teeth to chew up anything fibrous. Creatures that do that tend to have flat teeth and a jaw that can move side to side to make a grinding motion. Leo is physically adapted to bite and tear and gulp with sharp, overlapping teeth in a strong and sturdy jaw
You forgot to mention the fact that lions are obligate carnivores and cannot survive on a diet of fruits and vegetables. I mean look at Leo, he's so emaciated that I'm surprised he's not already dea- Wait. Maybe this whole movie is his fever dream before he dies of starvation. That would explain so much.

Three things: 1. Lions and Elephants have different chromosome amounts. They literally cannot physical have children. 2. Their children seem like they're young, yet Leo looks like he's going to die in a few minutes (then again he looks like that the whole way through the movie) 3. the "so bad it's good doesn't apply to this" is very very true. i was 45 minutes in, but it felt like 2 hours. nothing interesting happens.

I watched this movie once and the dancing elephants were doing pregnancy exercises. Pretty insensitive though when the elephant who just gave birth can't find her own kids.
I would like to point out that Matthew Mercer is the English voice actor for Yusuke Kitagawa in Persona 5. At least he's the best part of this awful movie because he's a legit great voice actor.

Overtime the effects of malnutrition worsen to the point he begins hallucinating being on a adventure with other animals. The odd slow motion, nauseating character texture and movements, riding the rainbow bridge and the severe off key singing are a result of this. As his organs get closer and closer to failure, it ends with him in a coma. Imagining he has started a -abomination- family with one of the elephants in his fever dream. Lesson of the story??? lions arent meant to be fucking vegetarians.

Three things:
1. Lions and Elephants have different chromosome amounts. They literally cannot physical have children.
2. Their children seem like they're young, yet Leo looks like he's going to die in a few minutes (then again he looks like that the whole way through the movie)
3. the "so bad it's good doesn't apply to this" is very very true. i was 45 minutes in, but it felt like 2 hours. nothing interesting happens.
