    ----- FOLLOW UP -----
A lot more information on the QBZ191 has come out since I uploaded this video, which have rendered some of the things I said outdated, or incorrect. I have released a new video to present relevant updates, which you can find here: th-cam.com/video/bjsQ--XSviY/w-d-xo.html
I would still recommend that you watch this video first, as a preface to the update video.
A summary of the new information are as follows:
    1. The patent drawing for the fire control group at 12:47 is for the prototypes only. Within this FCG, the "mystery piece" at 14:30 is likely a disassembly lever. The current production guns use an AK-style trigger pack.
    2. The bolt carrier group has many differences compared to that of an AR-15, including the firing pin retaining pin, the extractor springs, the cam slot, and an anti pre-engagement mechanism. The bolt has 4 locking lugs, and the ejector is fixed.
    3. There is another version of the dual-chamber gas block that has 2 gas ports, which probably never entered production. The DMR also uses a different gas block, likely with only 1 gas chamber.
    4. The translucent magazine at 16:24 likely has a capacity of 30 rounds, not 25.
    5. The vertical grip at 22:28 is a light/laser module, with the 4 buttons being laser, red light, white light, and green light, starting from the right button and going counter clockwise.
    6. The DMR handguard is highly likely to be free floated.
    7. The "PEQ15-style" module at 21:27 almost certainly has a laser aiming device. This is because elevation and windage turrets used to zero the laser are present on this module, as seen in this new photo: pbs.twimg.com/media/E40beHfXEAIDcLv?format=jpg&name=large
    8. The Carbine variant is designated QBZ192
    9. The QMK152 scope (at 18:16) now has an updated designation of QMK171A
    10. The turret on the DMR scope at 21:10 is likely for parallax adjustment, not brightness. There is another turret for brightness adjustment that is not visible in any photo in this video
Thank you to all the commenters that helped translate some of the Chinese texts, as well as pointed out the mistakes I've made!

And it is at this moment that you realized: despite CNN's tired narrative to the contrary, our Internet Firewall is our Mexican Wall; it's there to restrict you and not ourselves. By the way, no disrespect to Mexico; being nestled at the doorstep of the Dear Leader of the "free world" is unfortunate indeed, even more so when speaking a different tongue

@@aaabbb-py5xd What you typed is not comprehensible in the slightest. I'm gonna take a guess and say you are chinese and proud of your country. Good for you and we from the US wish you the best.
It seems you have fallen for ccp government propaganda with the intent to dehumanize Western individuals. You'll find that we from the west are more likely to to consider the fact that you and I are both humans before we compare ourselves by nations. I am not terribly concerned about you or the greatly susceptible to VPN firewall(you must be using one to be commenting here right?). As far as I am concerned you and I are both humans trying to survive and experience a good life. I am not terribly concerned with the US and China's tension , both need each other to survive. Both will continue to slip in and steal each others secrets in an attempt to remain the dominant world country.
Its also worth noting CNN's coverage of china and its firewall is quite sparse. It does not keep westerners out at all, lol. The biggest issue with westerners looking through chinas net is the fact that they cannot read Chinese, and web-translators do a poor job. Wherever you get your info needs to fact check, try asking actual Americans or westerners for info instead. When treated with respect they will treat you with respect in most cases regardless of where you come from. In fact, unlike in china, we are able to criticize the government and news reports which has been done in the past even for cases of misreporting of china. While many americans dislike the CCP we recognize the good and the bad, it is no doubt the average mainland Chinese person has had a great increase in quality of life in the past few decades after all.

    • @aaabbb-py5xd
      @aaabbb-py5xd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@aaronizadi3801 lmfao, so what was the comprehensible part that triggered you into a jaded regurgitation of "free world" pretense? Now, I'm glad you felt "dehumanized". After all, your "freedom" operations have been patent crimes against humanity. Moreover, such operations have always enjoyed the auspices of your "freedom" propaganda, which sometimes invokes the notorious "dissident" feedback loop, known to everyone, on an honest day, as "trash in - trash out". Secondly, or in general, you are either pretending to know about the CCP or you are wilfully misrepresenting reality to stave off your cognitive dissonance. Let's see, you were caught being flat out wrong about TH-cam consumption in China. Rather than admit your embarrassment, you decided to save face by insisting that I don't have first hand knowledge of the "free world". Lol. Pray tell, exactly which part of my english or sentence construction gave you that idea?
Oh yes, you are simply angry that, compared to the CCP, I'm much more effective at dismantling "free world" propaganda. You are deathly afraid that this is quite a grassroot and wholesale rejection of "free world" propaganda. You want to continue to lie to the Chinese people about your motivations, methods, track record, ongoing schemes, and objectives. But remember, those of us from your "elite" institutions have had a good look around. And even your "critical race theory" shall simply falter at immunizing you against our attacks. Slogan for slogan. Bullets for bullets. I'm afraid that it is rather the honest who wins in the end, and you are squarely in the wrong camp.
Finally, I'm all for viewing people as humans without nationality, so long as you give up your nationality first. Do remember though, that such an act would require you to stop pretending that we the Chinese can't criticize our own government. I mean, if you believe that the Communists can stay in power 100 years in a row without taking criticism and reforms, then your fate into the dustbins of history is already sealed.
P.S. When I say CNN, I meant all of "free world" media; I could've said Bloomberg, WSJ, the Economist, Reuters, BBC, and the like, but um, maybe that's too much for a Sarah Palin like yourself to handle. And stop pretending you can or do criticize your own government or your media. By your own acts here, you are perpetuating their narrative and agenda. You only wanted to patch up their obvious mistakes and pretend that their mistakes are in the past. You were hoping that doing so would ensure the viability of your mouthpieces as the "leaders" of world opinion. Sad puppy, you are in for a rude awakening.

We don’t allow guns in China, and the military’s secrecy measures are also very good. We haven’t got much information since the rifle was unveiled. We can only collect scattered clues on the Internet. Even my friends who were in the army introduce me to the shooting range they still did not allow us to try this new rifle. Only 95-1 and some foreign guns (such as hk416) to play with. This video really helped me a lot to know about the 191. 看到这条的国人,如果想在国内打实弹可以去北京昌平的北方国际射击场,国内也有其他射击场,可以自行搜索一下,但是这些地方(包括北方国际)有的可能需要介绍信而且一般都很贵。

@@sodinc Well, we in China used to have a 1-month military training in the first year of high school and university, especially in university, the training officer from the PLA or PAP would teach students basic infantry knowledge and operating light firearms (basically Chinese-made SKS, AKs, type 81s and if lucky the QBZ95) is one of them. However, with massive military reserves (over 2 million) and militia (over 8 million), many high schools and universities decide to remove operating light firearms because of shooting range coordinating problems (need to coordinate with the local garrison) and it involves higher risk. Though, up to now, many Chinese are arguing that operating firearms should not be removed from college and high school military training.

Their previous rifle was a bullpup which means they wanted a compact rifle without sacrificing range. This time around with the 191 modularity is what they want. Apparently you can attach a different barrel on this depending on the need and role of the soldier. There’s a sniper version and a light machine gun too. The “inspiration” for the gun is the ACR I believe.
Also it’s like the M27 that they’re providing a light infantry rifle replacing the SAW gunner. They did this to make it hard to identify the roles of each person in the team as their similar looking rifle will blend their roles from enemies. I’m assuming the same rationale is being used by the Chinese

Interesting marriage of the AR and AK platforms. A short stroke gas piston, upper/lower receiver, mag that racks in, and a reciprocating charging handle. On paper, I think it's an excellent rifle. It reminds me of my X95 but in a non-bullpup version which sounds preferable.

Very good video. I want to add that there is also a tungsten carbide core ap round designated as DVC-12. I don't remember the specs off hand but it is pretty similar to 7N24 in that the penetrators tip is blunt and leaves a pocket for a lead filling that aids in jacket discarding. I think it's pretty safe to assume it can penetrate an ESAPI, but not an ESAPI Rev g (esapi that is conditioned against m995) and the XSAPI.

Astonishing video brother. Considering how little information we have available to us you really broke down everything we need to know about their new infantry rifle.
I think we can assume two things from their choice,
    1. Their move away from Bullpup may have a lot to do with the adoption of widespread body armor and getting the buttstock to collapse a lot smaller than a Bullpup operation would allow.
    2. They've been studying Western small arms for a long time now to see what truly works and stands the test of time.

For the piece that is mentioned at 13:17, it's a safety detent plate. The FCG housing is held in by the safety. The safety is in two pieces that can only be pulled apart when it is rotated in a specific orientation. This safety retainer plate acts as a detent that needs to be pulled up to allow that orientation. The ACR used this exact same design. th-cam.com/video/t8rIJZ08Y4s/w-d-xo.html
