I just had a polstar 2 out for a test drive had it for a few hours and it was brilliant. This smaller EX30 looks brilliant and perfect for Europe. £32-40k with decent range, performance and Volvo quality and safety features. The Volvo will sell like hot cakes. Let’s see what this Tesla model 2 looks like and stats. We call it a sleeper Car, when people see it disappear in front of them unexpectedly from the looks. That’s Ferrari performance from ten years ago in a Volvo 😂 Brilliant.

I am in Melbourne, we just put an order in. Its the perfect car for us. 2 things are flaws: Rear seating legroom is not great, and no HUD/Cluster, but neither of those are dealbreakers. 95% of the time we have

First non-tesla that seems to be ticking a lot of boxes for me. I also really love the design, exterior and interior. Whilst I won't be selling my Model Y for this, it's great to see some compelling alternatives from other brands (finally).

Australia is not getting the LFP battery according to motoring websites, which is a shame. I would definitely take the smaller range of the LFP battery in order to have superior durability and safety compared to the NMC batteries. I quite like the look and proportions of the car as it would be a great second car to be used primarily as a city runabout, hence the preference for shorter range LFP battery. Shame it doesn't have heads up display or buttons for climate control functions but I guess using the central tablet is something you become accustomed to after a while.

Made for me, finally something like a bev hot hatch - even if it always has to have a bit of SUV content these days.
Also great: Smart #1, EX30 and Zeekr X are technically largely identical and you can decide by design or price. For me, the EX30 will 99% be my next BEV. Because it is so nice and short and there is a service network in Germany.
btw: Now Tesla's failure to launch the M2 in time (and VW with ID.2) will come back to haunt them.

One of the reasons a Volvo is heavier is because of the safety systems in Volvo’s. Plus, it could be the noise deadening in the bodywork. Major want especially the dual motor. Rapid!👍

That’s because the US market tends to favour longer range for their EVs due to the sparse public recharging infrastructure in many states and moreover they tend to have longer commute distances than their European counterparts.

I am really interested by this car, it looks great, price is amazing, features are amazing, I even considered canceling my Model Y to wait for real world test of this one. But I didn't and here is the main reason I won't even consider it : Cargo capacity is 318 litter + 61 boot under floor + 31 litter in frunk. Against a Tesla Model Y (I know it's a much bigger car) 854L boot + 117L Frunk.
318L is just too small when you have kids (a small VW Polo has more boot capacity). But beside that this car promises looks amazing !

Arena ev leaked the actual prices in their article and the cheapest 35k core trim is the lfp model. It's another 5k just for the nmc pack trim.
And maxed out awd dual motor perf trims are 52-55k.
Several others have also stated similar ranges on price and one leaked a supposes dealer only price sheet which shows that the price range in usd will be 35-55k with no tax credit unless leasing. Also the cheapest model in Africa was announced at 40k for the lfp core trim. 🤔

Looks great and an ideal size for the UK, Unfortunately £38k for the longer range RWd version, which will end being at least £40k on the road is unfortunately not that affordable and not far off the performance model price!. Also the capacitive button only interior will turn off many, did they not learn from VW. Will the high weight hit efficiency which is not great on their other EVs.

Volvo not comparable to Tesla at the moment.
