Acually: Susanna Collins wrote the books to demonstrate how cruel humanity can be, and to show how horrible it would be if something like this would actually happen. It was a kind of a warning: to show this is how bad things can get; and then they turned them into movies, completely defying the point.

The Johanna mason thing was hilarious! When we watched it in class (we were reading the books so that's why we watched it). Almost every person in the room when they got in the elevator started moving around. they started laughing and getting nervous 😂 and we watched that part in remediation with a different teacher than reading. So when that part ended she went "did that happen in the book or..." And we all laughed and went "yes" 😂 great times. I love the hunger games
Catching fire was the best out of the series so far. The hunger games was good but the hunger games mocking jay part 1 there wasn't much action but it was still good. But catching fire just had the most action and badass moments with Jen

I could've sworn Susanne Collins got the HG idea from Ancient Rome and the way they had gladiators kill each other inside the Colosseum (arena) and that served as entertainment for the people.... I also heard that the way Katniss volunteered as tribute, the idea came from the legend of Theseus and the Minotaur and how he volunteered to go and take it upon himself to kill king Minos's Minotaur.

I think they should remake the first Hunger Games movie... lol Everything looks different from the First one, compared to Catching fire, and Mockingjay. Like Buttercup for example, and even the Capitol.. The Capitol got like 100x bigger in catching fire and mockingjay. And the costumes and stuff are completely different in the very first one.

Navin B actually in the book gale calls her catnip cuz the first time she and gale meet she said her name but not loud enough for gale to hear so gale thought that she said catnip. then later when she was out in the woods she kept being followed by a mountain lion witch was looking for hand outs but katniss had to kill it cuz it was scaring off game but she said that she kind of liked it as company.

Suzanne Collins is a great author and I thank her very much for her trilogy that she wrote, but she did not just come up with that story is simply unfair to the other author who spend time conseaving an original story.
P.S : The Lord of the Flies (the book which "inspired" Suzanne Collins) is written so much better
