Francis Lee Rogers (at the video's end) maintains the bird feeders in Central Park during fall migration and throughout winter into spring. Care is crucial during the winter months when heavy snowfall and temperatures below freezing make finding food difficult if not impossible. Donations help Lee continue her efforts to fill the feeders with the nourishment needed to help the birds survive.
Thank you Lee. people like you make the difference in the life the those birds, mostly in winter where is nothing to eat .
Any park goer who visits feeder in ramble finds grea Joy in watching birds.mthanks for posting this fil!
Thank you for your comment - it's very true - the feeders are a special place in so many ways.
The Feeders...so beautiful. Had no idea it was only one person doing them all. For those who don't know, the Cayenne discourages the squirrels. They don't like hot taste, doesn't bother the birds, tho.
Annie Lindstrom So glad.
great film, great job Lee!
Just wonderful! And my thanks to Lee, as well!

what is the orange colored stuff in the suet? what other foods you put out for your birds in the park?
+Ingrid Meins Lee Rogers who takes great care of feeding the birds uses thistle for the finches, an Audubon mix of seeds, and the suet: peanut butter, cayenne peper, corn meal and bacon fat.
