@@MutilatedLips117 No I mean Half life's mid animation quality (It's still good tho.) Idk why I said it like that, there's prob other games before Half life with that type of quality.
Absolutely love the sound design in this game, it just feels real, as well as the graphics, its like real life but without trying to be real life if that makes sense
back when they add fractional reloading for shotguns and rifles, it's become shit, they not rework the animations but still using the old one which is fine but not polish it enough and this is the result, it's been years and probably it's will never got fix unless they want to make an animation overhaul update.
@@mdnp-grid487 I just enjoy the little imperfections and personality that comes from weapon animations that do their own thing or go for style over tactical realism like the newer CoD games and anything that mimics them. @@dignusdingus3709 i know right? I used to dislike those shitty animations older titles had, but i never realised how much they were giving their game its personality. I can recreate all Half Life/CS1.6 animations from memory if you give me the guns
What would you even do? What would the end game be? You’d farm up to AK in an hour and take some sort of monument with scientists and then? I feel like this game’s formula sort of requires other players’ input.
@@sissel2 well, forest for example also doesn't really have a endgame, but it has a story and after you finish it you can be on the island forever (im talking about the first game) Minecraft is a lot different of course, but i think some sort of inf. world would be very cool in rust single player, but its very hard to implement i know that I just don't really understand the purpose of rust right know, its pretty much a battle Royale without any winners and one round can last from a week to a month, afterwards your entire progress resets
@@dedster3164 The idea of hopping in and starting fresh is appealing to a lot of people. The goal is to basically create a profitable adventure by building successful and creative bases, creating a horde of loot, and fighting other players. I personally don't really play games like that, especially with the progress reset, but with how the game works without that it'd be impossible for players to get any sort of footing in a new server they joined. @@SmartToaster4K i played rust since 2016 and the biggest problem with the game is time Since it is battle royale, no matter what you do and how - you will loose all of your progress, but since it takes a lot of time to get anything, while also fighting people (who not only can sleep about an hour a day, but also have 5+ people like them with them), it becames irritating and boring mostly because there is no goal at all, you just kill to kill more before you call it quit There's so much more games that just do a better job yet since the rust is unique in the fact its pretty much the only battle royale + survival game, it gets attention by people who have no life (again, you spend so much time i mean just to get to the second workbench you usually need 6-8+ hours just for that) And yet rusts offers a lot of cool and interesting features which have 0 value since again, no matter what happens - you loose everything
The sound design and modeling is great, but some of the animations just suck. Some of the weapons have poor posing (angled unrealistically and off-screen too often) and lazy movement (the movements don’t seem to have much thought to them) It’s clear they focused more on actual gameplay than unimportant visuals such as animations; I commend that.

The attention to detail is amazing on the water guns. The way the water fills up
They learned it from Half-Life Alyx.
I was expecting bad reloads but some of these are surprisingly good. Hell, that water pistol, idk why it's there, but it was beautiful
yeah seeing the water fill it up is somewhat satisfying and so well done
