@@FourTwenny Thanks, I actually got them from an old Italian man who lived in Toronto in Little Italy. I'm actually a collector of debts and I also do repossession of tractor-trailers and high end vehicles. This particular file was o/s for the purchase of 2 Hugo Boss men's suits for the Amt of $2,500.00 CAD, total funds. The customer who was owed the money was a high end men's clothing store in Toronto Ontario, on College St in Toronto's Little Italy. The client sent the file to two or three other collection companies however when the collectors recognized the elderly gentleman's 1st and last name, for whatever reason the 2 or 3 collection agencies closed the file and abandoned pursuit of the funds and returned the file to the client's, the (creditor). Three years after the debt was incurred by this Italian man a friend of the client's gave them my name and number recommding me to the client advising I would purse the more difficult accounts. I was given the file and once I was able to review the documentation I soon came to realize the debtor was a 67 year old well known Italian man. I was able to contact this gentleman by phone and he ask if I was the same person that kept calling him and bothering him about repaying the funds. I told him that I just received the file and never contacted him in the past. He told me that the past three collector's we're welcome to come to his home in person to pick up the money despite the fact that they told him to send a certified cheque to their office. He said he was not prepared to pay unless these brave collectors would attend in person at his house in order to collect the funds. Now given the fact that this man had a very very powerful name in the community and City and country. Canada, USA and Italy no one wanted to meet him face to face. I made an appointment and he told me to park in his driveway at his home and not on the street on front of his house. I made an appointment for 12 noon. I pulled into his driveway at exactly 12 noon and he was standing in front of his house in a white t-shirt and his hands were covered in black potting soil. He was working in his backyard garden before I arrive. I introduced myself and shook his hand and he welcomed me into his home which was an old post war time home built around 1946. His wife was in the kitchen baking and cooking and the food and baked goods smelled delicious. This kind man and his wife told me I would eat lunch with then and have espresso with some of the baked goodies the wife prepared. The food was delicious and so was to grappa and espresso and Italian banked deserts. Well once I finished eating it was time to get down to business. The gentleman opened his kitchen closet door and opened a small box and pulled out 3 $1000.00 1952 Canadian bank notes. He only owed $2500.00 and naturally I wasn't expecting cash and had no change to offer him. I told him I would go up to the bank at the corner and return with the $500.00 change. He laughed at me and with his broken English he spoke. He told me and that I was man enough to come to see him in person and he enjoyed my company and offered me a tip saying my time was important and therefore I was entitled to a tip. But $500.00 was outrageous, I replied. He held my hand and with a tight squeeze of his hand he told me to accept his gratitude and told me to return whenever I wanted to share a glass of his home made red wine and his wife's pasta. I shook his hand and with a smile on his face he told me he liked me. I have had the 3 notes ever since and I sent my client their portion of the funds from my trust account. I had never held a thousand dollar not let alone 3 of them. The next Christmas I received a letter in the mail from this man who invited me to his daughter's wedding. You know this man was a very kind man and for the life of me I can't understand why no one wanted to meet him face to face.
If they are the older bills (1954), there are the ones with the devils face in the Queens hair, that are suppose to be worth the most to collectors, I believe the name on the left side of the bill is Cowan or Cowen, something to that effect, they may have a gold mine, just saying eh.
I am Canadian. I remember the sweet pink $1000 bill.
bonjour super beau ce billet
I have 3 $1000.00 1952 notes in extremly excellent condion. Are they worth anything but the note value?
I would pay $1100 for one so they are worth at least that.

When the British govt needed to move massive amounts before the war
How the fuck printing money can be too expensive
I have 1000 Canadian dollars in 1988, would you like to buy it
It’s all worthless. Buy gold
what if and get this
I buy them because I enjoy them. Same as firearms
Older banknotes usually get more value over the years
