  • The Edifier NeoBuds Pro was a cult favorite! It destroyed its competition at a killer price point. The successor is.. Um.. interesting.

Sad to hear Edifier still hasn't fixed some of the basic issues with the NeoBuds Pro line after 3 versions. It feels like they are not listening to quality feedback. Good job as always my dudes!

I thought so. I listened to another reviewer go on and on about these buds as if he just discovered sound can travel over Bluetooth. When he spent more than enough time on those stupid lights, I couldn't get with much else of what he had to say about these. Thanks guys.

Top tier review as always, thanks gents. Honestly, had fun with TWS1 Pro, but between the super dodgy app and quality issues, there's just too many better app supported options to bother continuing with Edifier. Maybe in future.

Man, I was holding up to buy Neobuds Pro because I heard Neobuds Pro 2 is coming, but it seems the right time to buy the Pro 1.

Hello guys, you are doing really great job compared to other channels. So far watched a lot of your comparisons, but still can not clearly deside what to pick if most importatn is
    1) Call quality at home and sometimes walking on the street (mic mute or multi-device features are really nice to have, but not mandatory)
    2) Sound quality
    3) All other is not relevant. Noice canceling is not needed at all
So far I"m looking at Edifier Neo pro 1 (2 is still not available), Liberty 3 pro or Technics AZ 40/60/80, but seems that Edifier/Liberty are better and also cheaper than az40/60 and only comparable with az80.
its also nice to have to stay at price range of 150+-$, but if its really worth it, I"m also ready to pay upto 300.
    - Anker/Edifier costs now 100$
    - Technics Az80 costs 300$
    - Or btw, Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ costs only 100$ now, previosly it was at price range 300-400, but internet samples didnt impressed me... Maybe they improved something
Maybe is there any competitors or could you advise something in my case? Thanks! :)

Most of the issues you raised were present on the 1st gen, which were well-overrated at the time - I was so disappointed by the sound quality, in particular, had a weird metallic edge that nobody mentioned. The only really good thing about them was the ANC. Think everyone got carried away by the Nightrider case and overlooked the obvious flaws. Glad you mention the inability to switch to transparency during calls, that's a major flaw.

I find it strange when companies don't include wireless charging. You were able to get perfectly good wireless charging on $20 earbuds from 2019/20 (my first pair of true wireless with usb-c was enacfire e60). I understand Samsung is doing it on the FE series to add a pain point to get people to spend money on the more expensive options, .but edifier doesn't have that dynamic. How much could a qi charging coil add to costs? $2 a pair....$5. $10. I suspect the number is pretty low. But I know a very few people that wouldn't widely pay an extra 10 bucks just to check that box.
It's a failsafe in case the USBC port breaks, and true wireless earbuds are particularly well suited for a lot of wireless charging pads.

In a world where the Tozo X1, Earfun Air Pro 3/S, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC... exist, this stuff isn't worth $50-$60.
Edifier went completely stuck in 2020 🤦🏽‍♂️
Ps: Edifier thinks it's Bose, bringing out the same product behind the competition, changing the design a bit and wanting to sell it as a new product 🤦🏽‍♂️

In short, I can't help but figure that Edifier pinched a great big loaf for their second generation of the original Neobuds Pro. Literally, all of the stuff they needed to add to the package didn't get done. Thanks, but no thanks.

Im doubting buying the pro 2, had the pro for 2 years but they died recently. Should i buy the pro 2? Or just get the pro again? The pro 2 is like double the price… or are there better alternatives for the same price?

just bought these and the battery life with ANC OFF and no LDAC (iphone) was LESS than 2 hours. Battery drain for the right bud was significantly higher with a contrast of 1% to 37% remaining and end of each cycle. CASE charging used 47% of capacity for 1 charge. WTF?
These are absolute garbage for what they cost.

DHRME - “Desperately hoping, reach me earnestly” I really loved my neobuds 1st gen until one got dead. I can buy them in Mexico for $90 usd or get 2nd gen for $115 usd. Just $25 dollars of difference. What should I do????? I just care about the sound quality.

Huge disappointment and huge pass on these lads. Bad, design, bad feature set and ridiculously priced and still trying to steal my personal information through their sketchy app. Thanks for the extremely generous review lads. I agree with your assessment. Oddly, given the number of headphones and earbuds that I own, I was actually using my Edifier NBP to listen to your review.
