    Ty bro a lot of people are talking about dry healing like?? Maybe that works but it doesn’t seem like the best option I always use aquaphor on my new tats for like 4-5 days and then I use moisturizer

      You're welcome. I mean I'm no expert but dry healing somthing that NEEDS hydration and moisture to heal, and later look its best for longevity and needs protected when exposed to alot of sun heat doesn't seem to me like DRY healing is the best option for a tattoo stand point. Kinda tattoo 101 if you ask me. Again I'm no expert but a dry tattoo to me sounds like a blown out tattoo in 2 years that hasn't been taken care of and now doesn't look good. The skin needs hydration. The skin under a tattoo needs hydration to prolong the life/longevity and quality of the tattoo.

    Can you use it on older tattoos ? Got a couple 2 months old and others just about 20 years old

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. But it will only do one thing. since it is an old tattoo obviously it won't have any healing affect which is its main use for new fresh tattoos , but it will keep your tattoo moist. But I would suggest mad rabbit tattoo balm so that you can get the best of both worlds. Moisturizing and color longevity. Mad rabbit will keep your tattoo moisturized and prolong the life and color of your tattoo and help restore color back in older tattoos that may have started to fade.

    When do you first apply it? Immediately after removing the wrapping? A day or so after?
    I cant seem to find a straightforward answer on this lol

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The time in which you take off the wrapping. Clean the tattoo first, let it air dry, then apply aquaphor.

  • @antonlane5982
    @antonlane5982 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    How many times a day do you recommend or do we just apply it wen our tattoo feels dry ?

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend the more you keep it lubed up the better. So each time you see and feel it START to become dry. But no need to put big globs of it on each time. Just enough to have a thin layer covering all of the ink. So of your new ink feels like it's drying 8 times in one day then you should apply 9 thin layers. If 6 dry looks and feels then apply 7 thin layers. So as needed.

      @@moto_ak47 okay so basically just apply it when my tattoo feels dry ? And it’s hard to feel when it’s dry for some reason 😭

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@antonlane5982 oh trust me you will know. When your skin moves you'll feel it and after showers ect you will see it when you look in the mirror at it and when it starts to peel.

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@antonlane5982 I kept a thin later on mine at all times beacuse I hate faded looking tattoos. And to this day I still keep a thin layer of tattoo cream on it. I also use lubriderm lotion after showers on it. It's a great after care for tattoos and dry skin. Two different kinds of this lotion, Red bottle first on your tattoos then blue for the rest of the skin.

    Do you also put aquaphor on your tattoo if it starts peeling??

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it is still healing, the aquaphor is made to also help heal your tattoo faster. Once it has healed you will then move to lotion like lubriderm when it gets dry every few hours.
      Keep it clean and keep it hydrated.

    Should it to be used for a full week ? I used it for about 2 1/2 days then switched to lubriderm I just want to do what will provide the best end result

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use the aquaphor for a bit longer. You will like how the tattoo seems to stay darker for longer periods of time after showers ect and when you do make the switch to lubriderm.

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For that first week depends on the size of the tattoo. You-it is still in the healing process.

    • @moto_ak47
      @moto_ak47  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Location not just size also plays a big part on how long a tattoo takes to heal along with the person body. Which goes along hand in hand with how different people are going to take ink in there skin differently. The best skin for tattooing is no coincidence. It's well taken care of exfoliated (REMOVES DEAD SKIN, FOR INK TO GO INTO FRESH CLEAN SKIN AMD TAKE THE INK WELL) skin and well hydrated skin. (Drinking lots of water atleast a week in advance from the date of your appointment) NOT the day of. People make that mistake alot with tattoos and sports or going outside on hot days. You need to drink water days before and prepare the body for what it's about to go through. You can't start the day of and expect your human body which is mainly made up of water to perform how you want it when you don't give it a chance to take in what it needs and the time to soak up those needs (food,water,vitamins time=energy-efficient human function. The body then performs how you need it to. In this case take in INK well. And then recover from over a million needle punctures.

    My tattoo artist didn’t even cover my tattoo I’m scared that it would even get infected at this point

      Don't need to cover it just put the ointment on. When you cover your tattoo it draws the ink out
