We don’t need to fight anything, fighting is resistance. Accepting that it is what it is, is easier than fighting. Fighting gets me personally on a hamster wheel. This is what DARE is great. Accepting what it is, and allowing it when it comes but not giving it too much validity

Great video Michelle. Had a panick attack many years ago and was certain it was my heart and this is exactly how I live always staying hypervigilant and it serves no purpose!! Thanks again very helpfull.

I am currently reading “Dare”. Listening to your explanations is a wonderful and helpful addition to the book.. When I am reading, I can actually hear’ your voice encouraging me along. I love your style of presentation. Thank you !

"What if", "maybe it's", "it could be", are all thoughts that can keep oneself from recovery. I have and sometimes still do (though not as often) think all those negative scenarios. You have to turn negatives into positives.

My anxiety comes in waves. There are days that are better and others that are worse. Ughhh so tired of it.

When the "what if" and "could" thoughts are really persistent/repetitive (and more prominent during physical sensations) is it best to adopt and sustain a "so what" ignorant attitude as best as possible, or continually respond with rational thoughts e.g. "could do" is behind the door I don't need to peer behind!
I'm wondering if I take DARE too literally sometimes by going through the steps mentally whenever I'm feeling particularly bad, when instead I should focus on just retaining the "so what" attitude generally?
Hope that makes sense!! I'm not quite sure how to remain persistent when sometimes nearly an entire day is one to forget!

When I get a "what if" from my brain I try to counter with my own what if. Like if they say "what if you die when you leave your house" I just think something like "what if cats had wings? what if fish had feet?". All three questions aren't based in reality, but for some reason I accept the first one as true. It helps me realize what I'm actually asking myself!

Hey Michelle, I’ve gone from the harm thoughts to what if I’m becoming schizophrenic...because I have really stupid thoughts. Like what if I think the person in the tv starts talking to me
My head jumps from one thought to another.
I’m so sick of this anxiety and thoughts. Can you advise please.

I hate when I’m driving far away from home and I start to get the scared “what if” feeling

Yea exactly I get them out of the blue it’s a feeling of “what if” I don’t say it but the feeling is there. When I analyze it it’s because I am under stress most of the time and sometimes it is out of the blue... sucks but we got this!
