    Hi team,
It’s not so much about being scared.
As we already know that anxiety cannot harm you.
It’s about feeling frustrated, because you feel like you’re putting in so much work each day to be brave, but not see any results so when you feel the symptoms over and over again every day it just gets really hard.
How do we know we’re improving? How do we know what we’re doing is right?

Peter, my friend, I've had Tinnitus for over 10 years, it kicked off my anxiety journey too. You are going to be just fine!! I obsessed about all of the scary things you mentioned in this call and NONE of them came true. You will notice longer and longer periods of time where it doesn't bother you. You will continue to have setbacks from time to time for a while but overall you continue to adjust to it. It took me about 2.5 years to really not care about tinnitus (without any help). I barely notice it anymore.

Over the last two years, my anxiety is at an all time high. It was worse a few months ago. I drink Restful Sleep Tea with valerian root, I sleep because some nutrients can only be ontained through sleep, and I quit caffeine as caffeine gives me anxiety something fierce. I fear the future and I fear old age. I'm 52 years old. If anxiety is based on growing old, then in my case I'm doomed to have anxiety for life. I have to revere life and go on living as the alternative is simply not an option. I know I'm crazy. My wish is to be 100% normal and perfect. Thank you, DARE

You are not crazy, you're mind is just tired and sensitized, don't add fear to fear, I went through this in my thirties was okay for almost 30 years I'm now 63 and dealing with anxiety again but some of the most calm and composed people are older people because you learn not to let everything and anything scare you, thoughts are not dangerous, hang in there listening to these professionals will steer you in the right direction take care praying for you too🙏

@@jerrychavez3960and Dean Noble I'm right there with you I'm 62 I never remember having anxiety when younger maybe it just wasn't made aware as much as it has the last years things are more out and spoken abt today I think I just maybe had it but kept active through it when I was younger now at this age I don't have all the demands I use to have time on my hands learning to live life in my 60s I think is the work of letting go age for me like Jennifer mention worried abt getting older we think of sickness, not being able to get around etc. Until I moved where older have shown me life is what u choose to make it wow I have neighbors in their 80s going to the gym they drive and they don't dress as we picture in our minds they dress the same as we wuld in our 40s and 50s younger they are single widowed women who are active and they don't use walkers not that it's a bad thing if you need it but I think I'm not the only one like Jennifer who thinks scary things my fear was going in a nursing home I can tell you getting older dosen't have to look scarey not after living around these women they have energy like u wouldn't believe they push they are a inspiration I'm convinced if we take care of ourselves mentally and physically the best we can it will be ok don't get me wrong some days are harder then other's our mind is stronger then we think I try to encourage myself to not give in to the negative thoughts I am really convinced our thoughts run wild n we allow them to dictate how we are going to feel, what's going to happen on and on and we stay stuck instead of trying to take steps while I call it the movie theater running constantly in our head some of us are more intellectually active verses maybe someone physically I have been around people that don't give things as much thought as I do they are so easy going I would love to be that way my goal is to really learn to enjoy my life at this age I don't want to be a angry person being older I am thankful that I have been able to see that the horror picture I had painted abt getting older isn't true sure we will gain some wrinkles but as long as I can move around I could do anything I can change my hair color I can choose to leave my hair whatever length it color I want, I can still dress cool just because you get older doesn't mean you have to dress older getting older doesn't mean it's over I tell myself everyday I have come a long way I have learned to accept I am not 20 or 30,40 or 50 and I will be damned to allow that to stop me we all have our turn in this life to be a certain age 1 time I don't want to waste anymore time worrying abt it the only thing it does is robs our joy frm the present I am the same as I was yesterday and years ago I don't compare and I don't have to try and compete I am so much happier when I accept who I am and where I am all the things I have overcome I only have to be me and that's enough there's no difference it's all a mindset
