I found that the power steering bracket can stay there. Fricken Rack and Pinion lines were in the way of those and I got 2 out by flexing those lines a bit, then realized I didn't need to do that to get the AC stuff out of the way. Now I got the Alternator loose, but working on removing it. Hoping that one 10mm open end bolt don't give me too much trouble.
Hi Bryan, thanks for the videos, great stuff, I need to do this job! … any tips before I start, maybe tools not normally found in an amateur's toolbox or anything you would do differently having now done the job?
Im hoping kobalt comes out with one of those cordless ratchets, l really want one. Should just bite the bullet and get that one. Really digging the cordless kobalt impacts, plenty of hammer for tuff stuff. Take a peek at Napa, just picked up a 3/8 flex head and a turbo long 1/2" ratchet, on sale, absolutely LOVE these things. Way to learn that balancer bolt!! Show it who's boss!! Lol It put up a helluva good fight it did. Its these moments that keep the spice in life lol Great job as usual Brother!!
@@Bryan916 thats some serious money but rightfully so. Nice job on the repair so far, I'm impressed how you always seem to keep your cool. This is one job that would aggravate the heck out of me lol.
@@Bryan916 Hi Bryan, are your vids in real time? If so it took 2 hours to get the heads off would you say another 2 hours to put them back on … makes $4.600 (US?) look like a good hourly rate!! :-o
Thanks for the tip of your 4th Attempt in your edit s. That will save me 3 attempts.
You know you might be the only person who's done this in depth video on the 4.2 head gasket
Great video brother

I know what you mean about the Kobalt line of cordless impacts they really look like a great cordless tool line! Yeah, that crank bolt was annoying!
@@Bryan916 the 1/2" has 650ft lbs. Havent had a fastner say no to it yet
@@twiz8789 I believe it, thing sounds like a beast!
I wonder how many spare parts Bryan is going to end up with.
No such thing as a spare part, you mean an incomplete job. LOL!
What's the big tool you used to get off the crankshaft?
WHATS THE COST SIR...AN WHERE ARE U LOCATED
