Sup bud good job, have you considered having yr fly wheel lightened and balanced? Or even a few degrees spark advance? it makes a huge difference on out of the hole power
Appreciate the comment my man. I will definitely doing some performance based videos in the future. Wanted to keep things mild to start and ramp things up as I go.
I just rebuilt mine and I can't get it to start. It cranks but instead of sucking air through the intake side it's sucking and blowing air out. Any ideas?
+Codie Galligan can't say I've ever experienced anything like that before. Make sure you're getting good spark and your low speed and high speed screws are set to factory specs. Also charge up the battery overnight and make sure you have no air leaks and she should run (not necessary well but it should run).
Hello! I watched your video on TH-cam. You have a great understanding of engines! Can I ask you to send me by email instructions for repairing the kawasaki js 550 sx engine. Thank you!
+tjlee300zxtt I appreciate the feedback. One of the main reasons I uploaded my first build was because of the fact I couldn’t find any videos on TH-cam that would help me with this rebuild project. All of my research had to be done on forums and reading the manual over and over so I figured even though it’s my first build maybe it would help someone.
Thank you this helped a lot. How did it end up running? Post an update video!
Is that sealant you are using just as good or better than yamabond?
This helped me immensely! Thank you!
I am in the middle of rebuilding my 440 did you just wipe the engine with enamel reducer and how did you get all the gaskets off
Where can I get one of those engine books?
How’s the ski running? Are those 76mm pistons ?
What did you torque your head nuts to? And you said you torqued the crank bolt to 125 correct?
Wow .. great great video man. Helps a lot
How's your ski running? Did do anything to improve the cooling?

Brian Roagers for spark advance do you just rotate the stator one way or the other? If so, what direction and how much?
@@colegoble counterclockwise
What manual are you using ? Thanks
It’s a clymer manual
How many liters of fuel dose this use in an hour?
about an hours worth

+Codie Galligan I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you elaborate?
It sounds like the ports are not matching up to the pistons somehow. Did you replace cyls or pistons? Perhaps a mismatch?
I dump fuel down the carb and then crank it and it seems to not be pulling air through like it should. It kinda spits up fuel through the carb

Just a FYI used the wrong pistons, you used reed engine pistons , piston port 550 engine pistons only use a single ring
Correct, nice catch 🤘it was intentional
What are the benefits of doing this? I’m interested 😂
Where's the next video?
