Thanks for this video. It actually helped me in learning how to take out the console so I could replace the top door. For the weaklings like me that might have trouble taking out the console at 2:46, I found rubber grip gloves to be beneficial.

Hey, here's a tip.
I'm not sure if it's different, but when I removed the radio from a 2006 Toyota Corolla, I didn't have to remove that middle 10mm bolt.
So instead of removing 5 bolts, I removed 4. Just in case anyone is trying to save time or they don't have a long enough tool.

@HuggiePampersBambino Yes the kit has two outputs, one for the ipod/iphone and the other one for a 3.5mm jack. You can connect the andriod, but you will have to control the music through andriod.
will just buy a whole different sound system unit...

The songs name will be displayed, if you are in the Playlist mode. And you can control through the head unit.
So does this kit make the readout of the iphone/ipod display on stock stereo, also control through head unit?

In my Corolla 2005, I am planning to fit a similar but USB Adaptor into the CD changer socket.
On some web sites they advice to remove the battery negative terminal.
But in my user manual they suggest to contact the dealers before removing battery.
I am afraid to remove the battery as it may reset the devices and may ask for radio security code, which I can't find on the Owners manuals.
I just want to connect this USB adaptor into the CD changer socket and don't want to disconnect the CD player.
Is it safe to try this without removing the battery ?

I think a mistake was made, can you please clarify if you need to remove the middle screw when unbolting the radio?
great vídeo you have the 12 pin connector I bought the 20 pin connector i installed it on my car 2005 the thing is why all my devices reconice there is connected (the aux) but i dont know how to activate it please help!!

You will feed the cord through the drilled hole!

you can only use this kit, with an apple adapter.

Where does the aux cable plug into? Is it a separate cable or attached to the iphone/cable? Can I also use a lightning cable adapter for iphone 5s and still work?
AUX plugs in to our module.
With the new generation devices, you have to use our kit along with the Apple Lightning Adapter. We cannot make our own connection to transfer data, due to patents. With the apple adapter everything will function the exact same way as with older devices.

What button to you click to set the stereo to AUX? How do you activate the aux cord once the installation is completed?

i think i had a CD in there which might have jammed during the aux cable install.. now i can't eject the CD or play it. can't get AUX either. totally sucks.

I would suggest going to crutchfield website and enter your car model. They will send you complete OEM installable unit which has built in aux connection less than 100.

Its not mistake but U dont have to damage ur car do u want cheap solution like ten dollars or les?! Just do wat i say buy bluetooth its like 3ollars wich takes 5 volt u can put it in ciggarate place and also to complete the action buy tape or cassate wat ever that called its like 5 dollars wich has wire aux in it and drop that wire into the bluetooth that wat i did and u can now hear it from ur car and u can leave the bluetooth and just put it in ur phone
The sound quality isnt even close on the cassette adapter or the bluetooth radio transmitter.
did he just say it was challenging to drill through plastic...? at least i know if he can, than i sure as hell can to.
FM transmitter = low quality, fuzzy music. Hard-wiring is the best way to go if you want something that sounds decently good.
You don't have to do this i'll just buy fm transmiter..then plug your mp3 or ipod... that's it...
Ratchets always have extensions.
i dropped a screw down into the chassis. it took me 4 hours to fish the stupid thing out.

Was surprised and disappointed to get mid-installation and realize that you need a drill for the most natural installation (putting the cable through the second pocket). How could you possibly not mention the possible need of a drill at the beginning?!? Now it's quickly getting dark and my drill has zero juice. Ugh.
