The one technique I found most useful was #8- Understanding their decision-making process. I deal with several types of businesses and individuals, for the services I offer. Each of these have different decision-making processes. Sometimes I get locked in business mode, when I am dealing with an individual or vice-versa. I find myself switching just in time or I'd blow the sale. Thanks for reminding me I need to develop a process to deal with these different groups.

One question I have, your 2nd point - Tell them the reason for your call ( this is after Hi...., how have you been? and before the 3rd point raising the 3 issues) . Not sure how to word it, if I state the reason here as the 2nd point, would it not be a premature solution before understanding the point 4... please give me some guidance! thanking in advance.
