Love the new presets Peter! I think you said it in your previous preset video, or something to the effect of "presets are good way learn about how your favorite photographers edit so you can take bits of knowledge here and there to develop your own style." I've been taking that to heart and been trying to learn little nuggets from different people, including you of course, to work on my own techniques for a while now. I'm still a noob but we're getting there!
Everyone is influenced by someone else. And I think we are lucky to live in the information age and have access to people like Peter who share their talent and skill.
Future great photography comes from this!
For sure. Imagine waaay back when you had to apprentice under someone or have a student-teacher relationship to really get that full influence. Now, technology has allowed us to learn from anyone anywhere.

Love the presets! To my dismay I couldn't load them into my version of Lightroom, 5 I think, but if anyone is wondering how to get them into it, what I did was download the trial version of Lightroom CC, loaded the presets into it, put them on an image, saved the image as "original with settings", opened that image in Lightroom 5 which then had the same settings, saved this as a preset under the same name as Pete's, rinse and repeat 11 times and there you go! Presets in the lrtemplate format!

I'm really happy you clarified that getting the photo right at the SOURCE is what's going to make these presets work their magic. I've seen so many people hate on presets in the past where they 'didn't work', where it was literally the photograph that 'didn't work'. Great vid, Pete!
I use Adobe Lightroom ver. 6.14 and I was able to load the trial version of Lightroom CC ver. 8 and purchase the preset pack and load the presets in. From there I loaded a generic photo which I would apply the individual preset to. I would export each individual photo (the presets) using Export with presets to DNG. I then imported these photos into my Lightroom ver. 6.14 and just save them as Peter's presets in a folder named as such. This appears to maintain the integrity of what Peter's preset values are and I am super glad to support this guy and also use his presets in my older program. Some people just don't do photography on a regular basis, so paying a monthly subscription for a service I use maybe twice a week isn't practical at this point. Hence why I bought outright the Adobe Lightroom 6 pack.

Just bought your preset pack. Your work is inspiring man. I travel quite a bit and just picked up a Sony A7iii and can't wait to start making my photos look even better. I've been working in Lightroom for a while now but never quite acquired your knack for bringing the "fire to the people". I've been incoporating your tips into my photography like "trust the histogram" (which I confess I never used until you "showed me the light"). I just went to the US Smithsonian Museum of Natural History yesterday and your knowledge helped me to get better photos of the Hope Diamond, a T-Rex, and quite a lot of other remarkable shots.
Soon I'll have a fast wide angle lens for those epic landscapes like you put out. Thanks for the filters and all of your hard work. Keep the motivation coming, and best to you and your family! -Chris

I just wanted to say, ive checked out a bunch of different channels that focus on photograghy and yours by far are my favorite, and the reason for this is that in *all* of your videos you take the time to edit and show your skill and passion in photograghy. This is also one of the main aspects (aside from your personality) that makes people inspired by your videos. I went to one channel, clicked on their most popular video and this guy looked like he was not qualified to talk about photograghy, the camera set up, the lighting- it was awful, it was because of this that i became to really appreciate your videos and just how much effort you put into them.
So i just wanted to say thanks, for putting in the extra effort for us, and to keep up the good work.

I would really like to get the preset pack but I have Lightroom Classic CC (2015) version 6.14, this is the purchase outright version so it doesn't get the updates the monthly one does, does this mean it's not possible to use on my version? I'll be gutted if that's the case.

Been using these presets as well as your last years release (2017) both are very well worth it thanks - I tend to always use them as a head-start and then where ever the final edit in LR takes me. Above all I appreciate the honesty that they won't work on every pic but in my case they work on virtually most as an initial beginning and sometimes I hardly only move only move the setting to suit me own preferences.
Keep the amazing work up and keeping us all pumped on achieving bigger and better.

So, I just purchased these presets. I am pretty new to the whole using an actual camera and then editing the photos outside of my iPhone. Getting everything adjusted has been difficult and, if nothing else, time consuming... practice makes perfect. These have helped me out a lot on my edits today. Still not perfect but it makes it easier to deal with. Thank you!

They download as a zip file after you purchase. He shows how to install in the video
The 2017 is meant to be a must haves because it can be used for anything while this new presets are mostly for Falls season. I have both and it is well worth it!!!

These presets are bomb and for me so much more useful than last years pack. Between this the lady Byrne and Phil Chester packs I love the looks and learn a lot from them to develop a style and play with the styles of my favorites. Great job on these. $30 is well worth it.

Is there anyone who thinks presets destroy the uniqueness, which unique manual adjustments might bring to each photo? I think so.
But it's also a great way to learn different looks and see how other photographers edit their photos👍
I totally agree that using someone else’s presets for every one of your photos can take away your own personal touch. But I do have to say, I bought peter’s first preset pack a little over a year ago and as a photographer it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It really taught me different ways to edit in light room than I ever would have been able to teach myself just moving sliders around randomly. I look at some of his tone curves and HSL settings and understand lightroom in a different way now!
No I don’t and it’s a great tool to make quick adjustments if needed.
To me, presets are more of a jumping off point, rather than the complete adjustment
it’s great because it teaches you ‘how’ the person got that preset. I’ve bought 2 for other artists and when I use them it’s not necessarily to completely copy them. no, no. yes it offers a template to work for which for a newbie can be great but again it’s more so on a guidance then a one and done
