Great information! Subscribed. I currently am working as a Data Analyst living in Miami looking to move to Spain within the next few years. Keep up the great work!
Hi Mari, brilliant video, thank you! Would you be so kind as to share what steps you took after you got the DNV? For example, what steps did you need to take to obtain the TIE? Did you need to get a rental agreement for the TIE? How much time do they allow staying until you get a rental agreement?
Hi Mohit! Actually this Wednesday video will be exactly about that, so don’t miss it! 😉 Yes, we did need a rental agreement for TIE because you need to get empadronamiento (proof of address) Technically you have 30 days to apply for TIE after getting the visa, but authorities will accept applications beyond that time as they understand that sometimes it takes a very long time to get cita(appointment) or secure an apartment. But you should have a valid reason to explain them in case you apply later than it’s supposed to. We applied a month and a half later because we couldn’t get appointments earlier
Hi Tony! To maintain your status and be eligible for renewal, you generally need to spend the majority of your time in Spain. While there isn't a specific number of days stated in the law, the general guideline is that you shouldn't be absent from Spain for more than 6 months (183 days) in a 12-month period. Shorter absences for holidays, business trips, or family visits are generally acceptable and won't affect your visa status. When applying for a renewal or a long-term residence permit, immigration authorities will look at your presence in Spain. Hope that helped!
@@mari_schultz recommended to stay 183 days but there is law stating it ? So I can stay longer referring at the fact that there is no law stating it ? :)

Hi Ernesto! In all my videos I specifically say that only by contributing to SS you'll have a free public healthcare. If you won't - then purchase a private insurance. I have no clue what other vloggers say. I recommend rewatching this video from point 3:22 😉 And I specifically talked about taxes as well here, so please just rewatch it more attentively and you won't have the same unclarity
It is a shame that a worker from the USA finds so many problems to come to Spain, and any criminal who disembarks without any kind of documentation, has all the services and assistance from minute 0. Good luck in Spain and welcome, I wish all the immigrants were like you.... MAGA

Just fyi, it's RESIDENCY, not "residentship". Ship is for citizenship, resident becomes residency.
