    Would be interesting if you could messure max. deceleration with the most aggressive recuperation setting. So B-Mode (shifter to the left) for the iX3...

    When fuel prices soaring hurting gas-guzzling 4wd/FWD SUV e.g Tribute V6/Tucson V6/Captiva, hop on a luxury no-guzzling electric iX3 SUV but a word of advice it’ll be hard to afford one, too fast and heavy and the drive range run out of electricity, then go catch public transport on the cheap…

      @@firstofall3975 Not much... Seat heating uses about 60W which is 0,08% of the iX3s capacity when you let it run for 1h.

    You actually don't need cars that accelerate so fast. About 8-9 sec to 62miles would be more than enough for me, if it could improve the range significantly

      That isn't how electric cars work. Putting in a smaller motor or limiting inverter output doesn't really improve motor efficiency.

      I think what they mean is they want more batteries even at the expense of weight that would affect acceleration.

      Hence why the fastest BEVs have generally the largest batteries.

      @@vorsprungdurchtechnik5 this. If they want range, look at a Tesla, or a Kia or Hyundai or whatever. It’s a BMW first of all so they’re gonna focus on driving dynamics before other things.
      It’s like complaining a BMW isn’t as efficient as a Toyota hybrid, it’s not exactly the purpose of the car.

      @@jaredscott4829 True but that's if they're used for power which means a more powerful and expensive motor is needed, which takes away from the battery budget. All of these are made to contest at a certain price point.

    210kw and 400Nm... that's like a naturally aspirated V6 3.5-ish. Sure... torque available just above zero RPM but what good is that when the 0-60km/h is no different to a naturally aspirated V6 3.5 also? 0-100km/h is also underwhelming.
