Yeah it’s hard to imagine this time jump but they said that they were gonna come out of the gate firing not focusing on everyone’s back story anymore so we could just see Steve with a missing arm and have no idea why we could see Mike with another guy and Vicky and robin together they just don’t care to show all the moments leading up to that next season which is interesting

I still cant believe that the people of Hawkins would have the balls to call it an earthquake when theres literally a giant X-gate that probably everyone can see in the center of town that goes in 4 directions.
I'm pretty sure it was just the media trying to cover up what actually happened in order to prevent mass hysteria. I mean the citizens of Hawkins were paranoid enough. Imagine what they'd think if they found out the literal gates of hell had opened up in their town.
Well tbf when the cali crew was driving to Hawkins they saw many leaving probably people who are just way too scared to live anywhere near that place anymore😭

@emmadefazio5938 I was just making note that of the 4 cursed victims, he didn't know who Fred was and probably never learned who he was other then a name. He primarily was trying to avenge Chrissy and Patrick's death. Only really came to note Max once he learned she was the 4th cursed victim.

This scene proves how hard the VFX artists work with editing. These effects are awesome for a TV show. Best VFX in any TV show. This is why season 4 was worth the wait. It needed it’s time with not just the pacing of the story for each episode, but so the effects can look awesome. I can’t wait to see how the effects look in season 5. Nancy said in the vision that Vecna had a whole army of monsters, army men fighting them in the streets, and there will be one giant monster with a gapping mouth. That is going to be a really cool thing to see.

@@flarestriker2005 Oh definitely. Since Nancy saw a giant monster with a gaping mouth in that vision Vecna showed her, it's going to be crazy! Especially with seeing soldiers battling monsters everywhere. And we'll definitely be seeing this giant gate sealing up in the final episode. Also, since when Vecna kills people their consciousness ends up in his mind, I think we'll see a mind prison (bigger than the mind lair) in which we will see vine like prison cells in which trapped in them are Max, Mrs. Creel, Alice, the neighborhood pets he killed, the lives he killed at Hawkins' lab, and perhaps even the people that were used to create the giant monster in season 3 like Heather and her parents. Maybe even Billy is trapped in there. Even though he regained control of his body in his final moments in life, the infection never left his body like how it got out of Will at the end of season 2. So when Billy let out his dying breath in front of Max, I think Vecna then absorb his consciousness right there. Therefore, I'm sure that Billy and Max will be reunited in which they get to patch things up with each other. The only other thing that I can think of that intense VFX will be used for in season 5 is Kali/008 using her illusion powers to fool Vecna and any other monsters. She could use her powers to create an even bigger monster to trick the giant monster from Nancy's vision. I'm definitely sure she'll use it to fool Vecna into thinking he killed El, but then he'll realize it was a trap.

The moment we realize that Stranger Things will never be the same again after this. They've entered a new era where Hawkins is in complete chaos due to Vecna's cruel actions, and the gates have plagued the entire town in the destruction of homes and businesses that left most of its citizens injured, while others were killed. This is their own version of Thanos' snap from Avengers Infinity War that killed half of the entire universe temporarily, while Vecna's actions indirectly cost Eddie's life, left Max in a coma, and resulted in an uncertain future on how the remaining main characters will have to pick up the pieces and somehow fix all of this.
I personally think that Max IS dead but her consciousness is with Vecna, waiting to be freed. As the other souls. :)
When Will was captured in the Upside Down he was being held in the Library. The four gates literally connected next to the Library in the real Hawkins.

That’s true although it might not mean anything special, it might just be a coincidence. This is because for example if one of the four kills happened in a different spot, the center where all four gates merged would probably be in a different location? Not sure. Plus Vecna didn’t seem to care about ‘where’ he killed his victims. He tried to kill Max at the graveyard before, which would’ve probably meant the library wouldn’t be the center.

Jason just indirectly caused the deaths of 22+ towns people and created more harm than good, but even worse he indirectly destroyed Hawkins, becoming the reason why max is now in a coma and why vecna succeeded and it's ironic that he ended up completing the so called "ritualistic sacrifices" and also being the one to summon the upside down and not only doomed his people, but his home! To DESTRUCTION!

I really hope we see in in the final season inside Vecna's mind so we can see if he feels guilty about causing the deaths of all of those people and how he was chasing the wrong guy. And yes I think there is a change we can see him inside Vecna's mind is because whenever Vecna kills it takes everything from that person. So there is a chance that everybody like Max, Jason, Chrissy and even people killed by the Monsters like Eddie and Bob could all be inside Vecna's mind!

@@EmmaDeFazio5938 Jason found Lucas and max in the creel house, mistakingly believing Lucas will sacrifice max, he threatens Lucas by aiming his colt python pistol point blank, demanding him to wake up max, Lucas tries to tell Jason the truth about vecna, Eddie and the hellfire club being innocent and Chrissy's cause of death, but Jason refused to listen to Lucas due to his blind anger and grief, and proclaimed that Chrissy would have come to him and not Eddie and saying that how he knows Lucas is "lying" which is not true, this resulted in a fist fight and during the fighting, Jason destroys Max's Walkman, preventing Lucas from saving her, Jason kept on fighting viciously on Lucas, until Lucas was able to fight back and knock Jason out, but it was too late and max almost dead, completing all of the kills for the gates

I can’t believe only TWENTY residents died. That has to be wrong. One out of FOUR of those dang paths demolished at least 30 or 40 HOUSES. The math isn’t mathing. (Also side note how did Nancy, Steve, Robin, and Dustin get out of the upside down? The gates had like fire in them and were clearly destructive as seen what with happened to Jason)

The gate isn't filled with fire, the barrier separating the two worlds has a red glow. and when the gate grows, it spread over whatever is around it. Jason just happened to be in the way. if you pass through a gate thats already open however, your fine... just don't get caught inside of it while it's closing. and given we know that gates can spread to the otherside of whatever wall it's on, it isnt unreasonable to think the gate spread down from the inside too right next to Steve, Robin and Nancy. They probably got back through the portion of the gate which spread right over the front door. and Dustin meanwhile, would have just had to walk a few meters given the gate in Eddie's trailer spread past them.

They obviously know its not a earthquake they just cover it up as one to make the public not panic
Technically high magnitude earthquakes in active volcanic areas can open up fissures with molten lava spilling out of them, but obviously makes zero sense in a place like Hawkins.

@@Highsforlife Wasn't on purpose, he was trying to do what he THOUGHT was saving her. He didn't know the headphone were her lifeline, and he probably didn't notice them on the ground when he stepped on them so it's not like it was on purpose.
Also if he DIDN'T break the headphones, then waking up Max would've also woken up Vecna prematurely, and the Flambe' team would've been toast (Burnt toast, probably flaming). Without Vecna getting crippled by Nancy, Steve and Robin; he would've executed his final target some other time, the opening of the omega-gate would've been completed without hinderance or warning, and the following invasion would've likely began sooner and with stronger forces since Vecna wouldn't be severely injured.
1:42 Hearing the final tick echoing and droning down across the town as the Upside-Down gates explode at the center of Hawkins gave me chills, like my hat was blown away by the blast, I can imagine! But that was the most ominous, intense and gripping scene ever!

Vecna could tell the future. I'm really starting to think that because as Henry, he was drawing mindflyer..i think he sees the future through visions. Vecna can also show the visions to people. Interesting character tbh.

As much as we hated Jason, remember that he did give the word of advice to nancy that shotguns have a short range therefore she removed the barrell for a farther range, that way she and the gang survived because they kept their distance from vecna, otherwise in order to kill or injure him they would in no way survive vecna at closer range as he was on fire.

@@bogingathedolphinking2802 Jason gave Nancy the advice that long barrel guns don't shoot very far. So if she hadn't have sawed the barrell off she wouldn't have been able to knock Vecna back with the gun and he would've killed them and in my eyes, it would unfortunately be robin.

One thing that doesn’t make sense is how and the hell did the Hawkins people think it was an earthquake didn’t they see the glowing gates the next day? The big cracks?
My theory is that when El brought Max back to life, it somewhat sealed the gate. Note entirely, but a little. With that, that is only why the storm clouds and dust particles managed to get through and no monsters yet. The Duffer Brothers said because of how much the kid actors are now older than their characters should be, they're gonna have to do a time jump to match their current ages. With that, I'm sure season 5 will be taking place in 1989. Even though Henry already has his plan ready in which he showed it to Nancy, I think El somewhat changed that. So now, Henry needs to plot for awhile how he's gonna have to make this work.

Funny story when me and my mom were watching the finale. It was late at night and my mom accidentally fell asleep. and when the clock sounds started to go off it actually woke up my mom from her nap. 😂😂😂😂😂
When my dad and I watched the finale, right when Eleven threw Vecna across the room and he slammed against the bleachers of the gym, the ceiling lights above our TV flickered. My dad and I looked at each other thinking about the coincidence.

One thing that I don't think a lot of people has considered about this scene: The earthquake caused by the 4 gates ripping across Hawkins and merging together caused a 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake. Which in terms of scale and frequency, is a very rare, and a highly dangerous magnitude! The highest on record being 9.5.
Considering this is back in the late 80s, This Earthquake in question is probably one of the strangest earthquakes documented. Not only because an inter dimensional gate opening caused it, but also because considering it's location, the only other high magnitude earthquakes that's happened are only in areas around the ring of fire around the pacific ocean. and never in the middle of Indiana, so this Earthquake probably got a lot of coverage across the entire US and probably outside of it, and in terms of the US Government knowing what caused it (and the Russians could probably figure it out too)
The fact of the matter is that this event would not have gone unnoticed by the larger world. Just food for thought here :)
And remember The Soviet already discovered it in Season 2 and Season 3, that's why Starcourt Mall exist in the town

The worse thing about this whole thing is that Jason left a little parting gift for our heroes. Hellfires still considered a devil worshipping cult thanks to Jason's speech in the church. Eddie's name was never cleared and the members of Hellfire are still wanted by the townsfolk.
It wouldnt shock me if the next season used their hatred towards the kids to prevent them from saving everyone. Bc they all may think that they caused this.

Whats sad is, He was misunderstood just like billy. Jason was never supposed to be like that. What made his character like that is mainly Chrissy's death. He thought eddie killed her using magics cause hes in the DnD Club, And when lucas joined with eddie (almost) , Jason thought lucas was also involved in this "magic" . This caused a severe confusion in jason's mind and maniuplated him alot through this entire season.

Ditto, but it wasn't in the cards. His grief made him irrational, and his actions made him too invested to change his course. He couldn't turn back; he knew he was right, and nothing could change his mind. So he had to go.
Many people enjoyed Jason's death and I felt a little sorry for him since he wasn't bad, he just lost his sanity after losing 2 loved ones and mistakenly tried to kill the wrong people, if I had known the truth maybe it would have been more helpful Go ahead, at least a beating for your mistakes

Due to the writers and actors' strikes, the filming start date moved up to early January 2024 and the Duffer brothers claimed it would take the whole 2024 year to film the 8 episodes. Therefore, counting with post-production, we should get Season 5 anyhwere between August-December 2025
