Thankyou so much for filming this tramp. I so loved seeing 'hinterland' I don't have the stamina to reach. So I appreciate very much you fitter folk who can go and have the generosity to film as well. I'm a Kiwi, and I love my land. Thankyou, thankyou, Kia Kaha! 😘 Ellen
I am so grateful for your shared experiences and the wonderful videos. Whenever the state of the world feels too much I seek out your calming videos. So impressed with your approach to sharing your many NZ walks without too much ego. New Zealand will always be my first true home (originally visited in 1967) and I am so close to being there traveling in your footsteps. Hope to manage one last trip in 2025. Thank you for creating such immersive experiences. Wishing you a lifetime of beautiful hikes.
Thank you for the kind words Doris, it really means a lot ❤️😊🙏 Glad you find some enjoyment in our videos, it's comments like this that keep us going! Can't image how different NZ must have looked back in 1967. Hope you get there in 2025 😄
Looking forward to meet you on the track Doris, we will be travelling to New Zealand after 30 years. Now returning with our adult kids to show them what beauty is.
Another masterpiece! Really enjoyed the longer video but understand it was a longer trip and the editing work must be a lot. Thanks for putting the time in and taking us along for the adventure.
You guys are so lucky to hike this mesmerizing beauty. No words is enough for me how much I have enjoyed your video while watching it. Thanks for entertaining me.
Superb video - I thoroughly enjoyed that. I've walked a lot of what you filmed a few years ago, and will be back there next weekend with the Moa Hunters. You balance of letting the imagery speak for itself vs adding spoken commentary is very good. You have a genuine editing talent. Watching this has made me look forward to getting back to the Nelson Lakes even more! Cheers. 🙂
When I did this walk I was on hands and knees crawling over the saddle due to the 100kph+ winds, got a tad scary but so worth it, it was a shame you did not go up to Angelus hut/lake, great vid.
That sounds intense! We didn't go to Lake Angelus during this trip because we planned to return and go up Roberts Ridge to Lake Angelus another time. We have a video of that on our channel as well 😊
Great work guys was lovely to see all that familiar territory and your excellent footage, I have done that same circuit 14 times over the years since 2000 ,I'm now in my 70s some of the terrain could be a little tough many thanks. Andrew. 😊
14 times that is an amazing achievement! I'm sure you could still do it to this day, New Zealanders are built different 😂 Thanks for watching Andrew 🙏😊
Fantastic footage! I am doing this hike first week of March joining my friend who is midway through the Te Araroa! It will be the first hike that i bring a tent! I feel even more excited now after watching your video, thanks!
That's so exciting for both you and your friend doing the TA! Danya and I wanted to do the TA while we were over there, but didn't have the block of time unfortunately! Just means we'll have to return one day to complete it 😊 Good idea on bringing the tent! The trail can get pretty busy and carrying a tent gives you a lot more flexibility
Silence, only birdsoning, around a beautiful scenery with lush green ferns, which you can transfer to our homes.Moreover-a well-coordinated and physically fit duo.Keep it up,good luck on your next hikes and I thank you,Chris and Danya, for a pleasant morning!😊
Absolute amazing job Chris and Danya! Love this long video and could watch it again and again. Keep making these cinematic B-rolls, those I'm always looking forward to watch. Looks fantastic on my 4K monitor 😀 I'm coming to NZ with my girlfriend start march, and will be traveling around just like you two, so it's great with some tips & tricks for those hikes. Hope to run into you two one day. Cheers.
We're no longer in NZ unfortunately 😞, but if you're ever in WA we might bump into you! Let us know if you have any questions about NZ! Thanks for the kind words 😊
@NicolasJaegergaard we've been pretty lazy since arriving in WA 😅 Still got tons of NZ videos to edit though! We're moving to Canada in June and we cant wait to start doing trips over there as well!
Awesome video, very calming, beautiful shots, but also showing some of the hard slogs, I love the reality. Also inspiring for me as we are looking to escape Auckland and settle somewhere in the South ... Nelson Lakes is now on the list. Loved the closing line and the view from the carpark 😃
Thanks Chris and Danya, beautifully filmed, my favorite, next time you’re in the Nelson Lakes, might I suggest the Cupola - Gunsight route. From Chris and Sonya.
Beautiful, as always. Your filming, music and narration are quite meditative. A nice escape for us as well.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏❤️😊
Lovely framing, storytelling and locations, as usual - Thanks!
Thank you for the continued support 🙏
Awesome ❤️
Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing video - Nelson Lakes is one of the most beautiful parks in NZ. Wonderful job putting it all together - very calming with gorgeous scenery!
Wish we spent more time there, but we had a hard time dragging ourselves away from the Kahurangi 😅
Beautiful filming, stunning landscape, thanks for taking us along again.
Thanks for always coming Angelica 😊
Superb video....
Thank you Brian! 🙏

Thank you so much Pauline, that is very kind of you 😊
Just what I need to wake to on a rainy English morning, thanks Guys❤
Glad we could help 😁
This whole place is so exotic and adventurous! Watching this just makes me feel tranquil and somehow relaxing! Great work my friend!
Thanks for always watching and commenting Ervin, we really appreciate it 🙏😊❤️
This is an enthralling video of your journey .Ka pai korua!.
Thank you Paul! 🙏❤️😊
Another masterpiece! Really enjoyed the longer video but understand it was a longer trip and the editing work must be a lot. Thanks for putting the time in and taking us along for the adventure.
Thanks for coming along as always Paul!
I don't mind the longer videos, it's just hard to find enough suitable music 😅
Did this hike in 2019. Nice to see it still has its magic. Definitely one of the most beautiful routes :)
Going through the footage when editing this video was awesome. I had forgotten how beautiful the track was!
Beautiful place!!! Thanks for taking us along😊
Thanks for coming along! 😊
enjoyed ,great vid👍
Thank you 🙏

Never done more than a couple of day walks in the Nelson Lakes NP. Looks great, and, again, another superb video!
Definitely worth doing the whole circuit if you have the time! Otherwise the Lake Angelus hut walk is stunning if you havent already completed it

Nelson is a pretty cool little city and it's surrounded by some of the best National Parks in New Zealand. Our pick will always be Wanaka though 😅
Thanks Chris and Danya, beautifully filmed, my favorite, next time you’re in the Nelson Lakes, might I suggest the Cupola - Gunsight route. From Chris and Sonya.
Will keep that in mind for next time, thanks 😊
Amazing vid again. Supreme. Is that December this year? Superb cinematography!
December last year and thank you 🙏❤️😊
Really cool video! What did you film this with?
Panasonic GH6 and GoPro Hero 10
How did you get from the car park back to St. Arnaud?
Organised a car to come collect us and take us back to St Arnaud. There's 1 or 2 transport companies in the area
What sort of accommodation is available in St Arnaud?
A few DOC campgrounds, then I believe your standard budget accommodation, cabins, etc
