    I sometimes wish you had a large stash of theatrical prosthetic noses -- based upon the various nose shapes that exists in the world -- so that you can contour all of them properly. It would be like _Face Off_, with contouring. That would be so damn entertaining and AMAZING!!

    I noticed that contouring to the side/down makes the nose look even wider or like there's dirt on it. That's why I usually reapply a lighter shade to the sides to even it out The trick is to blend out the contour in a way it still stays in one line as much as possible. Also it's really easier to just do it with the fingers.

    I just wanted to say thank you. You've helped me become better at doing my makeup. I helped a friend of mine do her makeup yesterday and she became upset because she grew up without her mother and believed that she didn't know how to do her makeup correctly because no one was there to teach her. I grew up with a mother who did makeup and taught me the basics but of course, you don't really know how to do it professionally without study and learning from pros. I assured her that I learned real techniques & information from TH-camrs like you! So again, thank you ❤💜💙💛

    I follow a lot of makeup artists who do "instagram makeup"-which I think is beautiful when you're going for something really glam, but I love coming back here because he sets you straight about those tips and really helps you with those things you want make look more natural and really recognizes that everyone's face shape is different and helps people with makeup ideal to their shape (unlike ig artists who do a sort of one size fits all for the face). It's all about balance.

    OMG, so glad you made this video. I wear minimal makeup but I absolutely LOVE watching makeup videos and I always wondered why people blended downward. To me it always made the bridge of the nose seem as if it stood so much further away from the face...like the slope of a mountain. You can instantly tell how much better the side blended upwards looks than the other side.

    You DO always make sense! I've learned SO much from you, Wayne! The couple of times I did contour my nose it looked almost like I didn't have a nosey in photos! Why?? Because I have a naturally small nose- not wide, not long, no hump, not crooked. Once I saw that I thought, "What the hell?" Then I watched your nose contouring vid, and realized that I don't need to contour my nose. I just barely highlight it using a MATTE powder highlighter. No shimmer. I'm a 38 1/2 yr old mom of 3 teen boys. Thanks so much for all of your priceless knowledge! I've turned my mom onto watching you as well. Much love from Santa Cruz, Ca USA!! XO!!

    I just got the Air Brush today and utilized it right away for my makeup! I used it for all of the following: setting concealer, powder face, bronzer, blush, highlighter. It's truly versatile! I noticed a couple of hairs shedding though, hopefully it doesn't continue to happen. I usually wipe the brushes on my Color switch thingy so colors don't mix on the brush, though I didn't for the Air Brush today. It's so so so incredibly soft, I can't wait to use it again tomorrow! Oh and I even blended the outer corner of my eyeshadow at the very end to soften it up! Thank you for all your tips!!

    I also feel it is very important to tighten the lines, so draw them closer together than u think u should, because the blending will remove some of the "snatched" effect. And add some lightness to the sides of the nose and where it meets your undereye.

    I personally bring my contour downward because if the shadow is more prominent, it gives the illusion that I have a taller nose. Also, I have large cheeks in terms of proportion to the rest of my face and a wide bridge, so sacrificing the light in that small area will actually make my face and nose look smaller.

  • @kiwigirljacks
    @kiwigirljacks 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    YES! I watched Aly Art and she explained the same thing. If you put lighter concealer at the sides of the nose it will also fade it into the cheek and then do what you've explained here.. it will make the nose look slimmer. I'd been doing it all wrong lol

    here I was thinking that this video was probably something I already knew but then lightening struck my brain and I was like, no, Wayne always has great tips! lol no lie though, you never fail to give us great tips and this was another one. I don't always contour my nose but when I do, I've always made this mistake.

I'm a bible student and I just wanted to share a scripture with you psalms 37:10 11 just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more you will look at where they were and they will not be there But the meek will possess the earth And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of OF PEACE ♡

    Wayne you are simply amazing my friend! Can you do a video showing exactly how to contour but more importantly BLENDING the contour in especially on the tip of your nose? You may have done a video already and I just haven't seen it yet. Thank you for these amazing tutorials! You are my number 1 go to beauty guy!

    Very helpful...the bridge of my nose is very shallow and I always get the contour product on my face when I try to blend it
