The hidden incisions inside the nose allows Dr. Fechner to gain access to the tip cartilages, aka lower lateral cartilages. because these cartilages are commonly large and bulky, he will trim them a little bit. Dr. Fechner stresses the importance to avoid removing too much of the precious cartilages as they are crucial to maintain support and shape of the nose.
Next, the tip cartilage shape will be changed using internal stitches. The goal of this maneuver is to narrow the tip for a more elegant tip. The sutures are long-lasting but, once healing has secured the new shape of the nose, they will eventually disappear.
Sometimes, small cartilage grafts are used for final touches.

@@sindhujar6262 i got mine last year. the doctor explained to me that the excess tip skin will shrink to the size of the new structure of your cartilage ... mine looks normal and sharp now. i have no regrets having tip plasty. I'm the same person inthis thread btw.

@@Ashish-nd3xj yeah i have asian type of nose , so yeah thick skin.... but it gave me my desired result. downtime is like 5 months? in 2 weeks I got to my office but I was waering face mask because of the bruises.
@@itsukiuehara6292 oh you just did the tip plasty okie...I have week cartilage and extremely bulbous tip. Very concerned about doing this cause I will have to add the carriage too. Thick skinned oily types take a lot of recovery time and some surgeons advise against it hence the confusion. I have had mix feedbacks after talking to 5/6 surgeons. Do you think it's worth it . Were you asked by people if you have done something that's my other botheration

That was a very rare time he got someone’s nose correct. He doesn’t actually know how to deal with bulbous noses.
