Quality that you're still helping to show how fun cycling - and now bikepacking! - is on this channel! My bikepacking videos are my favourite ones to make on my channel and looked like you enjoyed filming and making this one. Hope for more (once the weather is more acceptable!)
Bikepacking rocks mate, me and a mate bike packed around Normandy last year it pissed it down all week but still epic so much so I'm am going bikepacking with a load of veterans finishing at the British Memorial form the D-day parade in 2025.
I did the Normandy bikepacking trip last year. It’s so easy to do and so many spots to wild camp. The French embrace it too which is nice. Many moments I had a lump in my throat seeing Normandy beaches and evidence of war
I live 5 miles from the forest.. watching this makes me realise I need to just get out there and enjoy it more often. Thanks gents, great video.. keep up the great work. Hopefully see you out on the gravel sometime
Awesome video, guys. I'm sat here watching while holding my one year old daughter as its the only way she'll sleep as she's a bit unwell. The bit when you were talking about 2 footing Tom because of his snoring, had been belly laughing so hard... I nearly burst a lung trying not to wake her up! Ride on!
Living in bournemouth I cycle the new forest a lot, a few months ago I cycled across the brecon beacons from bristol to abergavenny to carmarthen before my knee told me it was time to go home 😂, being 51 now it's a bit harder.. hope to see more videos from this channel
@@Rickrill so many great places to ride. I love it all over the forest. I have a secret spot by a stream I camp and can ride to when it’s in summer as not boggy.
@@Rickrill I’ve taken my downhill bike there a fair few times. You’re right it’s a great forest and not many people there. Certainly less than the new forest
Fortunate to live near the Forest and recognised the route, by the Fire Roads and that gnarly little single track at the end which comes out by the farm. Great video and just reminded me how lucky to be able to ride most weeks.
Such great fun. We’re fortunate to have the kit , but now we’ve got it , there’s so many good times and exploring to be done. Getting outdoors riding bikes with your mates is one of life’s simple pleasures. Ps- Fajitas were top class Pps- sorry for the snoring Ppps- can’t wait for the next trip
Best video in a long time, not that I don't enjoy the content but the Cycling GK is the one!!! Love riding off-road but I really need to get my teeth into bike packing 👊🏼
What a legend. Proper camping and using a gas burner. You are hands down the most down to earth premier league player of all time. Serious respect for you mate. More of this please
Great video mate. Looking forward to more. Id recommend a two man tent, just gives extra space to move about and get changed. Ear plugs are a must. Blindfold can be handy. Check out DD Hammocks for a tarp. Can be handy to put up over the tent if its raining. Nothing worse than being tall and trying to cook then eat crouched over in a tent when its raining. If you're gonna get into it yoinshould try a hammock and tarp camp. Again, better in the rain especially if theres two of you. Instead of being stuck in separate tents you can sit together. Also keep your bike and gear under the tarp
A couple of suggestions for outdoor / camping content, ( if you haven't already found them ) Xander Budnik Lost lakes (John) Huge library between them, but always good. They sometimes team up for trips, they are my favourite. Doug Linker also great but need to look back, his output has taken a tangent into wood carving. 👏🏴
Grew up not far from the new forest. I need to give this a route a ride! Cheers Fozzy (and cheers for the pic at Ride Out. I was the keen wrexham fan ho nabbed you before the mob wanted free cameo vids 😂)
13:19 that was a violation! 😂 Also, you’re eating better from a camping stove than I do at home! 😂 Cracking trip, Ben. Like you, I’ve been trying for years to get out on a bike packing trip. One day, my friend, one day. What a place to lose your bike packing virginity though. Love the New Forest. 👌🏻
I do love bikepacking in the new forest. I live in Bournemouth so can do it most weeks. The hard thing is not getting moved on by the rangers. Pesky guys that see head torches and have been moved on many times. Lots of secret hiding spots though 😂😍
@@thecyclinggk ridden past there a few times. Honestly there’s some cracking wild spots if you ever fancy a ride out and camp. So many great spots more so to the east of the forest
@@neilt wildcamping is illegal in the whole on England not just the uk. The difference with people that genuinely love the countryside though is we respect it. It’s not people like myself that ruins the countryside 😉
Wonder if you can turn this into a series? See if you can get anyone out for a bike packing trip? Doesnt have to be anything crazy in terms of mileage, just a keen guest for an overnighter somewhere.
Absolutely loved that video, I’ve never done bike packing but always wanted to and your content has given me extra motivation. QQ what light do you have underneath the Garmin? More cycling vids please and also come and do another Rapha ride soon with Tom!

Honey butter, fresh dough...Outdoor Boys daft😂
More of this content team. Absolutely superb!
An @outdoorboys shoutout. I love it. 😂
The best
The video we have literally waited years for. More of this boys!
😘😘
Loved that guys ❤ I grew up in the new forest, so it bought back good memories. Ben's campsite cooking was off the chart, wish I could have tasted it!
It was double decent ,, I can’t lie 😂
I’m into double digits on Bikepacking adventures, the idea of carrying everything on your bike to thrive is heaven. Good bless the bicycle 🚲
Yes Ben! Great working getting out and enjoying the New Forest. That gravel taster is a sweet route.
Really enjoyed the video! You got some beautiful shots with the sun going down, gorgeous weather and I hope to see more of it in the future!
Love the bikepacking content lads. The prep for the night meal was outstanding.
Like to see more of the gear you's used regarding camping.
Thanks mate. Yea next time I’ll do a full demo of what kit I’ve taken

Terrific video, well done both of you. So much 2WW history where you cycled as well, another bonus for cycling in the area. 👊🏻

Looked like a lot of fun! Stunning sunrise 👌🏼 Can't not get the urge to go camping after watching this!

As you love to say ben thst was absolutely world class, what a video. More of this to come i hope!!!
Yes Ben and Tom, this is class. Love the football stuff but started following for the cycling.
when worlds collide, shouting out luke from outdoor boys. quality channel, master bushcraft

I live in Bournemouth too. Love cycling the new forest on my road bike or off road too. Can explore off road for years and still not cover it all
@thebikepackingadventurer I found my best ride was down through burley, up to the motorcycle museum for tea then down to the arboretum at bolderwood!

That outdoor boys influence, honey butter and bread 😂
You know it 😂😂
Can't believe you plucked out those fajitas! 😂😂 Well played, Sir. Well played.

Epic watch lad really enjoyed watching
Brilliant vid Ben. Loved it. 👏
I agree with the miles covered. I over estimated how much distance I'd cover in a day on my first bikepacking trip. Lol
That food cracked me up! Gourmet camping!
Just finished this weeks Outdoor Boys video and got a bonus UK version. 😂 I have dough and a jar of honey butter every time we go camping now 😅
Love this 😂
the stretched out legs before lighting the burner was slightly unnerving 😆 great content!

🙌 Stoney Cross airfield campsite! Look up the history, a lot of brave people flew from there during D-Day.

Them bags with honey and dough in mean you have defo been watching “the outdoor boys” channel
