I have the same engine. those back 2 screws are the last to come out. You just made my life a lot easier. I am changing all coils, spark plugs and fuel injectors. I just bought the car and want a fresh start. your video is Money! Liked and Subd. Thank you. 😎
Those two are the only things keeping me from moving ahead. Dislocated my elbow and it's hard to get back there. Will get it. That car gets a bad wrap but I bought mine off the lot (2010) new and have had really good luck. The only issue I had was the brakes originally - they put car brakes on instead of truck brakes. Dodge resolved that and no issues since except typical maintenance and wear.
That copper tube on the right that you had to take 2 8mm bolts out of, on my journey seems stuck. Took out the bolts, but can get it to pull back. What can I do?
@@nestorautorepair I couldn't even pull it back far enough to get to the seal, it wouldn't budge. There were a couple of 8mm screws down at the base of the pipe that I loosened, and then it was able to rotate freely, along with the seal
Do i need to disconnect the battery before doing this? Should I replace the gasket of the .manifold intake ( if any) when I put it back? Or I can just use the old one? Thanks in advance
The battery yes if you want you can disconnect it to be safe . The gasket you can use the old one is they still looks good , but is recommend to use a new one
Escuse me because I speak a little English but I need to know if I must to use silicone. Before put the five screw. I don't know if You understend me. But I can to understend You thanks for your time.God bless you
No need to lift the vehicle. Both 13 mm attached to the back are easy to get from the top no need to go underneath and the EGR tube swivels at the base after the top 8mm are removed.
The outer exhaust manifold bolts require 20 ft-lbs of torque, the inner exhaust manifold bolts require 30 ft-lbs and the intake manifold bolts require 33 ft-lbs of torque to join with the cylinder head. The valve cover-to-cylinder head bolts receive 5 ft-lbs of torque.
@@nestorautorepair im doing the same job on my 2010 journey can you explane the torque again when you say outer and inner so like the 7 10mm bolts for example are what torque thank you i know i sound like i dont know what im doing but its just the torqe and i dont want to screw it up thanks again in advance.
The bolt that is underneath is rusted on there tight I tried it with the rachets and the extentions and still couldn't get it off need help plz thank you

Thank You so much Mr Néstor

How much would that labor cost replacing the spark plugs in top for this car?

Sure sound like a plan
What’s the torque specs on the bolts when you put it back
