Thank you for thorough and honest review Jonathan!
Think this is something for you or not your bag
@@NoFate247 Maybe in my distant future. For now, free weights, sled, functional trainer, and cardio will support my goals.
Great vid! Was considering the Tonal initially before I got my DBs, etc.. wasn't going to fit my space and wasn't a fan of the monthly subscription required to maximize functionality!
yeah and that subscription catches people unaware
This channel is so under rated. Great review again
Appreciate that!!! Hope you are well
You can’t review something that you don’t have. Where’s the tone? He doesn’t have one and he got the Speediance for free #FOH
@Clankillas he had a tonal in the past to review it , you should lift more and talk less , little buddy
Great Review
THANKS! You thinking of getting one of these or just curious what they are all about?
Not even Arnold the terminator can get in the way of CHHEEECKING IN to a NoFate new vid 💪🏻
Who is your daddy and what does he do?! Thanks for checking in

Thank you!!! Your loyalty speaks volumes
A really good review. Thanks. I'm currently considering getting the Spediant so have watched every review I can find (yours is one of the best in my opinion) and based on my research, which includes joining and looking 3 Spediant Facebook groups and reading posts there, I have a few observations and questions...
1 - Isn't the Bluetooth ring supposed to help in getting in and out of awkward exercises - leave the weight off until you are in position then go? Did you try that?
2 - Some people have complained that the Bluetooth ring sometimes disconnects and others have reported slow WiFi connection issues so maybe you got lucky there. It's not a lot of people and I've seen reports that they have been able to fix it by swapping out the antenna at the back for a better one (which is easy because it's just a screw-in router-type antenna).
3 - On things like the pull-downs, if you pulled the machine out from the wall a bit is there enough clearance to move the bench to straddle the motor housing to get into the right position and, even if that is possible, do you think it's worth it? When you say those exercises are different in practice do you just mean "different" or in your case is that a euphemism for "unusable"?
4 - In theory people need to be a bit careful with the free lifetime subscription thing. Spediant say it's a limited time offer and they will start charging at some point (I think they even mentioned a price, I can't remember what it was but cheaper than Tonal; either $29.99 or $39.99 a month I think). Spediant has given no date for when it will start charging and given how much I suspect the free lifetime sub is helping sales that might be never - or at least not in the foreseeable future - but I think it's worth a mention. (Cynically, I suspect if Tonal ever went out of business that might prompt a change in subscription policy at Spediant!)
That's all I can think of for now. After all my research I think I'm going to place my order tomorrow.
Let me know which one you pick
If I were in an apartment, I'd get the spediance and a set of adjustable dumbbells.
Yeah -there are great options now for people with tight spaces or in apparements
Man, $720 a year for a Tonal subscription is brutal.
yes and it's every year! Not a one time lifetime charge either.
That’s straightup a tesla car screen lol. Good review as akways!
Thanks for checking in!!! The screen was sweet
Whatever gets people to stick to doing some form of exercise. We are not their target market, just hope a decent percentage of those who spend the money on it, actually use it long term!
I am nervous that the people it's marketed to, buy it and in 2 months aren't using it.
He’s all talk. He mentioned a couple of fundamental differences instead of making the video about functionality between the two. And what’s worse? He doesn’t even have the fucking Tonal to be talking about it and he got the Speediance for free. Worst review ever seen in my life.
Really the worst review ever? I agree your review was better than mine
Cool machine. Maybe one day when price drops.
Yeah it's up there
Do you think this machine can handle a 217 lb beast 😅
@@chrisfit365 probably not if they person has been training their whole life
the no subscription fee 🔥🔥
Exactly
Speediance is having issues with cable wear. People are having to replace them after around 2 years, and the user has to do the ork themselves.
I hadn't heard that, but that's an issue. You shouldn't have to do any maintenance on an item that's less than 2 years old
@@NoFate247 it's been discussed in the official speediance Facebook page. The company put in a tutorial for changing the cables and it looked... interesting.
Fwiw, I've had the gym pal, the platform version, for almost a year, using it mostly for single joint movements and I haven't had any problems. It's a great product but certain things like the cable life scream of gen 1 syndrome. They could easily be corrected in a revised version.
Been in Speediance community after purchase. The quality assurance period of the rope is based on the number of times it is used, and the warranty period is 2 years
@@jackpearsondon it's not just the times used but the weight used also, as I understand it. But people are getting notifications to change cables after short periods of ownership, which is something speediance needs to address.
Otherwise, I think the product has a ton of potential.
Gotta say a big no to both of them. Doesn't feel right on ANY movement. Free weights are miles better, a lot cheaper, and aren't that hard to learn. This thing is gonna be a clothes rack, it's even shaped like one.
@@GymCrafter I too purger free weights. I think this is marketed to those who don't lift
The Speediance is a duece, a duece and a half? Not bad!
Tried to get the movie quote meme in there but the movies so old I couldn't find good quality (Something about Mary)
@@NoFate247 I love that movie. Saw it 5 times in the theatre, and many times since.
