    I've owned my Speediance Gym Monster for over a year now and I absolutely love working out on this machine! The digital weight and the small footprint beats traditional weights any day of the week. The idea of having a built-in spotter into the machine for safety is a game changer for me! I have lost over 30 LBs using the Speediance Gym Monster. I'm 48 years old and this beast of a home gym has gotten me into the best shape of my life! Working out on Speediance is challenging but this by far has exceeded my expectations!!

    I received the Vitruvian Trainer+ two weeks ago after a few years watching all your reviews, and I absolutely love this thing! I have had the best workouts in the last 2 weeks than I ever have trying to train at home. It's so good, I don't even see a need to go to my work gym. Thanks for all your advice.

    Been using Gmy Monster for half a year after your series of reviews! So far so good, and I especially love the eccentric mode as well! def worth buying for basic home work outs, cause 220 lbs is still the weight I'm trying to reach😂😂

    Gym Monster + attaching the cables to a traditional barbell with weights could be a good option for those who have the space and need the additional weight. I use the ankle straps to attach the cables to a bar (for now) with 1x45s on each side for deadlifts for a total of 355 lbs, which is enough for me now after some back injuries. Could also do somwthing similar with dumbbels. My Swiss/Football bar also racks well on the optional tiny J hooks for bench press, but I haven't tried this yet with any added weight. I'm guessing it could be trust worthy up to at least 135 lbs as long as you are careful when racking.
    I came from a big setup involving a Freemotion Dual Cable Cross (the GOAT cable machine), power rack, leverage machine (Tytax M1), and triceps and biceps machine. Had to get rid of all of that due to no longer having the space. I am extremly happy with the Speediance, and my girl loves it too. Being able to easily setup some weird cable positions and then turn the wight on and off at will with the ring is a game changer. So is being able to combing the eccentric mode with the spotter mode for massive time under tension pump drop sets. Then the whole small foot print, easily repositioned with the wheels, no wall drilling, and easy to move (got it up the stairs with a 120 lb female helper) make it a no brainer.

    The Speediance gym monster has been a great experience so far, although the software is not upto par with the Vitruvian or Tonal and is missing important functionality such as workout progression tracking, progressive overload, workout management, customizations like drop sets, rep ranges, weight modes etc., however, it is continuously updated and new features are being released.
    The big deal breaker for me was the free lifetime membership, overall value, safety aspects like the bar tilt feature, having a touch screen right in front of me for ease of access and use, the overall software functionality, ability to rapidly adjust the weight at my fingertips, schedule workout programs for motivation and consistency, flexibility to use third-party accessories such as a lat pulldown bar and EZ curl bar, good customer service, and most importantly being able to do horizonal/lateral movements such as lat pulldowns, standing chest press, standing incline press, standing chest flys, low-to-high cable flys, high cable rows, seated cable rows, cable facepulls, triceps extensions/pushdown, barbell straight arm pulldowns, incline bench rear delt flys, dual handle romboids butterfly, cardio exercises - aerobic rowing, aerobic skiing, ab exercises such as kneeling cable crunches, pallof press, woodchops, plank cable pulls, standing shoulder rotation, standing leg curls with a frame to hold onto, floor exercises such as leg pulls and more. These exercises are key to getting a complete full-body workout.

    14:32 You can solve the weight limitation by attaching the Speediance cables to a barbell or dumbbells (using the ankle straps or with other third-party accessories) and can rack real bars on the Gym Monsters J hooks as well. Also, regsrding the Gym Monster's size, there really isn't a practical difference in floor space usage if yiu factor in a bench with the other units. Belonging in a garage and being to big to be in the house? Its have the size of a dresser and the same size of a door frame, and it could literally fit into and be used in a closet. Great review but just see it a little differently on a few points.

    • @Tiger1016.
      @Tiger1016. 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Didn't look like it was going to work well anyway. A better symbiotic design between the frame and floor unit could make for a utopian solution. Didn't realize it was officially canceled though. I went with the Gym Monster and supplement the insufficient weight for deadlifts by using a barbell with 1x45 on each side and stap the speediance cables to the bar using the ankle straps, and this is working great for me. I can also strap to my swiss bar for bench press and it is able to rack on the tiny optional J hooks. Not sure yet if I would trust racking something above 100 lbs on it for something like squats, but I'm belt squatting anyway.

      @michaellazarus8112 I had thought about some diy'ish ways to maximize the vitruvian design to do the vertical tower thing. If interested respond back and I'll try to give a few minutes in describing the idea if you want to run with it.

    If I may ask, does the vitruvian offer any "lift to failure" mode? What I do with my speediance is I set the reps to about 20 and deload with the remote ring when I'm out. say after 12. It works pretty well. What about the vitrivuan?
    I have the speediance monster and over 1M lbs after, it's been treating me good. One thing you forgot to mention is that speediance gives you full flexibility on custom attachments as they give you the little carabiners to attach to. With the vitruvian, you need to go with their own attachments.
    I'm thinking about getting the vitrivuan now because I'm soon to exceed the weight capacity on the speediance with my higher reps. I don't train with max weights for powerlifting, more for hypertrophy, but even then there is many people who can bench press 220lbs with 20 reps easily. I'm soon to be one of them... BTW, digital weights feel much heavier than real weights due to no inertia IMO. I'm able to squat/bench press more with "real" weights than I do on my speediance.

    • @ConnectTheWatts
      @ConnectTheWatts  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      no, there’s not really a way to do lift to failure…. I mean you kind of can because the weight will turn off if you stop lifting for an extended time, but that’s why I do like the Speediance Controller Ring better in some scenarios (that would definitely be one)

    • @mossie7920
      @mossie7920 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is a just lift mode. Just set your weight and lift. This can be done to failure.

      Innodigym P1 Max is a solid option if you want an alternative to Vitruvian. Max resistance is 330 pounds, it has smart handles where you can load/unload AND adjust the resistance. It also has a spotter mode similar to Speediance's Assist II, and you can use your own accessories. No membership fees and doesn't require the app for use.

    • @MrDomestosWC
      @MrDomestosWC 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@CJHolcomb82 thanks for the recommendation. I am looking for something heavier than 330lbs. I already exceed 220lbs on my speediance so I expect to exceed 330lbs soon too. Vitruvian may be a good option due to the 440lbs capacity. After that, I'll probably have to buy a rack.

    So if you are doing a rowing attachment for warm up- can you describe why it doesn't feel "correct". Is it because the attachments are not stable? In one of the upright positions I can see you pulling. You are looking away from the monitor and the camera angle shows that the monitor is wiggling so even the monitor is not that well attached and stable.

    • @ShawnFumo
      @ShawnFumo หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It may also be that it is magnetic resistance instead of a flywheel, so won’t have that same momentum feel that replicates the feel of water a bit more (though maybe a special mode could help a bit?)
