The solidarty in this scene was really touching. Most of the crew have known Topa all her life and it being a small ship the majority probably consider her family. Mercer and Greyson may have been the only ones to get an official dressing down but every one of them were risking either their carrers or at the very least being transferred to other ships.
I think it really made Bortus' singing that much more special having him first perform for us as a way to distract the entire crew to do something for the sake of his daughter, incredibly touching Then they have him as elvis in the final ep and it comes off just a joke rather than the heartfelt moving bortus we got earlier in the series
Elvis bit was a return to tradition for the Orville, a nod to its first season - which is fitting, the S3 finale was split between the drama (S3 E9) and the wholesome slice of life (S3 E10).
I see why Isaac choose Bortus. He's an orderly guy who keeps things on schedule and no other nuance to his actions. Even a AI can understand that train of thought.
I started watching the orville cause it looked like a funny show but I got hooked when they started tackling serious issues about personal identities and body issues and not just about gender identity but illness, personality and psychological issues, relationship issues and trust.
Waaaaaaay better show than it could have been. Very heavy ideas and concepts. Bravo to the writers and cast for tackling it and they really achieved something here.
This song rips my heart out, but also gives it life realizing it's made to give a tortured soul freedom. It makes me so proud of Bortus, Isaac, Kelly, Ed, and all to give a Trapped life like Topa the Freedom that she begged for. Also fuck did Bortus kill his part as key Singer.

I still wish we could have heard him sing “my heart will go on” 😂
Not me......
Even in the 23th century, it's overplayed.
@@wbond6692 gotta keep him happy or else he'll get stabby
@@nothingposted9056 Call me suspicious, but Bortus strikes me as more of the "Rip your arm off and beat you to death with the stump" kind of guy.
@@wbond6692 shit i replied to the wrong post, I meant his husband
@@nothingposted9056 Don't even get me started on Clyden. So damn, judgemental.
But no harm, no foul.

🤣🤣🤣
More like
YOU WILL BE SILENT!!!!!!!!!!

Let's be real... the Elvis bit was for his husband than for the other bois.
The Elvis bit was still hilarious, no denying that.

"Bortus Presley" is going to give me nightmares for some time to come.
😂

Isaac chose Bortus literally because Bortus said he would do it.
@@Shadowkey392yes and because they knew everyone on the ship would "have to see this"
Bortus singing out his deliverance. He was celebrating his daughter.
that's what's commonly known as basso profundo

Wow! Listen to that deep baritone!
Klyden picked a very good mate
💯 percent agree.
Peter has such a magnificent voice. I hope we can hear it again. ❤️❤️❤️

He does have a very amazing voice
Bortus is such a good Dad
"Hooray! Hooray for you!" Haha I've always loved how supportive Klyden is of his husband
Feels a bit strange listening to a Moclan belting out a football anthem!
Ya gotta love this show!!!!! We need seasons 4, 5, 6 and 7 and beyond.
Ok, this made the Elvis joke funny.
Hooraaaaaay! Hooray for you!
I wish i could hear him sing Hallelujah. And "Can't help falling in love"
I love how Klyden is so easy going and Bortus is incredibly stern but boy do I hate how conservative he is.
It may also be jealousy. He was originally a girl like topa
@@user-mu8ok5xf8d internalized bigotry, I hope if we get a season 4 klyden tackles that

Gad Zooks! He does sing!
Klyden fanboying over Bortus Presley is so friggin funny 😂
Bortus singing!! Ooo-eerrr! Disaster or not! He was stopped in season 1. Oh not bad Bortus!!! Blimey! Not bad - two songs !
LOL at the end when that enthusiastic guy was a cool guy
Definitely need a bortis sound track
The poor little kid when you held the keys to little guy look like you went to crap himself😂😂😂
Best. Elvis. Ever!!!

Sorry, but I have to say I still prefer the rendition of "You'll never walk alone" as done by "Eddie The Ship Computer"
And let’s not forget Toastie the Toaster!
hooray, hooray

Except for two.
All right, Bortus sang already.

I'd like to know that too.
