A bit late but I think the girl at 9:09 is a reference to the book, "the boy in the striped pajamas" as the main character is also the child of an officer maintaining a Holocaust camp and the MC also secretly meets a prisoner without the father's knowledge. The MC in that book also shared food with the prisoner kid and the line where she says she wants to try on the striped pajamas is a reference to the book's ending where the MC sneaks into the camp using striped pajamas.
Notice the laboratory, all the hero go up or down, and they have very clear holograms. Except us, our hologram looks unclear, and instead of going up or down, we going BACK.
