I've been riding a 2002 VTX 1800C for almost 15 years and I'm a female. I've owned many other bikes, but no other bike even compares to the VTX when it comes to the balance and power. Don't let anyone tell you this bike is a man's bike! I could prove them wrong. If you ever wanted to really feel power between your legs....Don't miss out and get you the VTX 1800C not the 1300 cc. NEVER SETTLE!

I used to own a 1200 Sporty and it was fun while it lasted! A few years ago I test road a VTX 1800 and WOW what a difference! It's like going from a minibike to a crotch rocket! I would definitely buy one of these Bad Boys!
Sean, I rode with a woman who rode a VTX1800 and her husband rode a Vmax 1200. So, women do ride those big cruisers. BTW, she was in her mid-50s!! Lakeport, CA and she still rides that bike.
I have a 2006 VTX 1800 C. I have Cobra exhaust and a K&N high-flow air filter. I didn't need a tuner as these bikes run somewhat rich off the assembly lines unlike most bikes which the factory settings tend to be more on the lean side. Yes hands down this is a great fun bike to ride. I will say it should only be home by well tenured experienced Riders otherwise you may find yourself having a very bad day! The only complaint I have about the X as it is somewhat top-heavy and it feels like you're moving a piano at slow speeds. But once it gets going, this machine is an absolute beast and loves shredding the pavement beneath the rapper! I love how there is Monster torque in every year and I think it will pretty much smoke any similar bike in this platform. A friend of mine who has spent over 40 Grand on a CVO Road Glide can barely even see my tail lights once I pin down the throttle.

I stupidly sold my 05 1800 Neo after putting 18k miles of trouble free ripping.. it had an aftermarket forward facing intake, v&h pipes & power commander.. I ran it in the 1/4 mile several times best run was 11.86 @118mph.. They are amazing bikes.. The Neo is the best of them all imo.. after a bar change..
@@MsAbcg Yeah, too low and wide.. I flipped the risers backwards so they moved away from me further and a bit higher, but then got some actual 11" apes that made it soo much better.. I am 6'4 with ape like arms and legs.. lol.. So they had to change, the bars would hit my knees in tight slow cornering..
Mine had a fairing w/ 4 speakers and a tinted windshield, I removed it. It felt heavy and odd. I removed it and I love it. I got the meathook ape hangers, air shocks with a compressor, Cobra exhaust, it looks sweet. I had a 1300 and the CC jump from the 750 to 1300 was nothing, but 1300 to 1800 is insane. It feels so small now that I took the fairing off.
I had an 1800C and recently also bought the 1800N. My girlfriend has a 1300R she now wants after riding my Neo a Neo of her own. Also I have to mention we are all VTX lovers / owners in the family. Her father has an 1800R her sister has a 1300R her brother-in-law has a 1300C and her nephew bought my 1800C. All great bikes! Go Honda 😆
Only thing I can't get over is that the exhaust sounds uninspired unless you're wailing on it. I guess they sound better in person? Because on the videos it does not compare favorably in the noises it makes vs. the V-Rod. (I'm hoping to buy a newer bike this spring)
I just bought a VTX1800N about 3 hours ago. The person that owned it before me put on a really nice (I believe they are 2.5") cobra exhaust. But... It sounds kind of like a four cylinder when it's only hitting on three. I was told is because it's running lean and needs a tuner. Dies this sound right? I love riding but my mechanical knowledge is pretty limited. If it does sound like a tuner is the answer, can someone recommend a good inexpensive tuner option. Thanks for any help.
I'm looking at a Honda 2004 VTX 1800 or a Honda 2007 VTX 1300 The 1800 is 1g cheaper and has less mileage than the 1300, but I heard the 1300 is more maneuverable. I'll be driving in a small city more than out of town but I want a bike that can handle long trips too. If you can't tell....I can't freaking decide what to get. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
It is such a shame that HONDA USA in Marysville has been shut during the last recession. I owned a Shadow 1100, made there, and it was awesome. Since the release and test ride of the VTX I am dreaming of owning one......but I live in London now, so motorcycling is too dangerous, lol.
