This Is an Overrated Image I can't believe people hated on the Arbiter missions. I thought it was a brilliant way to underscore just how terrifying the flood was. It showed us just how dangerous the flood was, striking fear into the generally fearless Covenant. It gave us a much needed different perspective.

its a simple mod to replace all your allies as brutes. the harder part is making them your allies because there's no mission in halo 2 where brutes are helping you

Probably because Bungie never intended any actual UNSC assets to engage with the player during this mission. So when you kill the marines, the game has to register the kill and does so under the only available biological enemy types - the flood.
If you want to try to justify it with lore you could try to say they were so heavily infected by spores that the infection had already started changing them.
It makes sense since you aren't meant to encounter marines as the arbiter until saving Johnson's squad at the Scarab platform, so there shouldn't be a point change until then.
Maybe you already tried this but if not can you make a video of you playing as an elite, brute, or marine in one of the first 2 halo games and see what it is like to get infected in first person?

JSnake I think is not possible, Because there are no first person models and animation for that, even if he get to does that,,. He has to do a lot of things to make it work
there is a mod where you can spawn halo 2 and halo 1 enemies in halo 3 and vice versa with the other games. i honestly don't know what would happen if a halo 2 or halo reach brute got infected by the flood in halo 3. (I'm guessing the game crashes)

It’s weird that most Sci-fi games or movies always have this humans vs aliens and always focus on the human perspective instead of both sides but favour the humans where in Star Trek and especially Star Wars have good and evil humans and aliens and be a interesting experience to fight humans in a first person shooter perspective in a Halo game where you are a member of the Covenant similar where it be interesting in a World War 1 or 2 campaign story game where you play as the Japanese, Italians, Germans, French, Canadiens and both sides of the Allies and the Axis and be nice to play as Australian or New Zealanders in those world war games since I’m Australian and it be interesting for many other war games like playing as a Locust soldier fighting against the Gears (Gears Of War) or playing as a Skynet T-800 Terminator fighting against The Resistance (Terminator) and etc.

So back to halo 4 cinematic, on the beach we see chiefs Mom glitching into Cortana. Dr Halsey said John or the chief had the perfect mind and physical genetics she could have passed them down to Chief or John. So my theory is what if Cortana is a clone of chiefs mom in ai form. What's weird is that on Quarantine zone I get +24 points and -150 points at the same time for blowing up a Scorpion that has Flood in it.
+24 for killing the flood, -150 for killing the friendly vehicle.
