Tom Spina has since obtained the original underskull but this version still looks more like Chewie than the Disney version.

I'm kind of glad they didn't use the mechanical heads for episode VII with the simple jaw movements it just seems more charming and simple

That Chewbacca didn't look right. It didn't look enough like the old Chewbacca. You have to get the mouth and eye sockets right and they didn't do that. I'm glad they had to make a new one for the Solo movie. It looked so much better than this one.
